Error code on Bosch washer

Just fixed the E:27 error code. Just turn dial to off and hold down delayed start button and spin selector button and turn dial to the left one click (cold). It should then click and open. open the door and turn back to off. Everything should go back to normal. this is something that should have been in the manual.

Hi, had this 4 yrs. It fills up with water and does drain properly but the drum only spins twice and it stops and goes back to the start of the cycle Any idea what is wrong? Thanks Richard

hi I think the electronics is detecting an earth fault either on the motor or heater. on the motor earth leakages occur around the carbon brushes . although not related to the wear of the brush replacing the brushes can cure it. On rare occaisons I have known a plastic covering left on the aramature which collects carbon dust .dismantling the motor and removing the plastic cures this. ideally you need an insulation tester to isolate the problem the motor would always show an earth fault if the culprit, illimate this first and look at the heater last as if this is faulty the machine does not normally get to the fill position.

sounds like carbon brushes in the motor they can be replaced as they just pop out of the motor. carbon brushes are very resonably priced so worth while to do.

Installing carbon brushes on Bosch WFK 2401

Remove rear panel of washer.
Remove drive belt.
Unscrew the 2 bolts that hold motor to tub back.
Remove motor plug
Lever notor back with a screwdriver or similar, keeping a firm hold on motor.and remove motor
At the rear end of motor away from pulley you will see the brushes and the armature.
Remove brushes, and if there is less than 4 or 5mm of carbon left, then replace them.
Lightly clean the armature with emery cloth.
Refit in reverse order. Test.
Plz rate my solution.

AEG Oko Lavamat 86700

check the carbon brushes on the motor as when they are worn arcing occurs and this could trip the electric and the smell could be the plastic brush holders getting hot due to the arcing

yes easy to change there are 2 of them look for a single wire going to each side of your motor when u find each wire u have found were your carbon brushes are right you will need a pair of bent nose pliers place the ends either side of the plastic casing if the carbon brushes squeeze and pull the first brush should pull out take wire of now the 2 brush you wont be able to see but its directly across from the first 1 do exact same to take that 1 out now before replacing the new brushes there a small slot running down 1 side of the plastic at the end you will see a small metal bar push this up which will release the carbon now you can fit them
