Check in your brightness level is not turned all the way down. Did you drop it or has anything happened to the system? It sounds like the LCD screen went out. You will need to find a repair center and get it repaired www.us.playstation.com will get you the information.

Psp When I turn it on, only the green LED goes comes

If you can hear sound then the problem is most likely your LCD screen. look at the screen under a bright light. if you can make out a faint picture then your backlight is out. Usually this means your screen needs to be replaced. replacement screens can be found on ebay for about $25

If you cannot hear sound or see anything on the screen then you have a more general motherboard failure of some kind and should bring it to a service technician.

Psp1004 start up and click sounds hears but no backup

clicking sound is coming from the umd drive. no picture would be either the light or the main board is bad in the PSP.

To fix both issues would cost more then just getting a new psp. Get a new psp.

Ihave a problem with my psp i can't see nothin in the screen but i can hear the sound

You have a semi brick psp, if your psp is scph-100x fat or scph-200x slim (not ta088v3), you can fix its under recovery menu. hold right button while turn on psp then, goto advance and select format flash1 and reset setting.. or by unbrick your psp using pandora battery.

otherwise, you might to send it back to sony if your psp ta088v3 or psp scph-300x

I have a problem with my psp I can't see nothing in the screen but i can hear the sound of the psp

Hi
i have had a similar problem,
this could be one of two things
1 your screen back light is damaged
2 your LCD screen has been very badly cracked

dose your screen light up at all?
if it dose light up then you would need to replace the screen
if it doesn't light up you may just need a back light.

Please fix my psp please

its either your psp is bricked(rendered useless..as entertaining as a brick becuase it wont do anything at all.) or screen came unplugged. try turning it on then turning the sound all the way up and see if you can hear the normal sounds. if you can either the screen is unplugged or ruined. if you cant and it turns off by itself then you have a brick.

Sony psp

Hi JTDB,

Turn off your PSP, Press and hold the R button, and power on at the same time. This may reset the PSP. If not, do you get any sound? Look at the Display real close and see if you are getting any graphics. If your getting sound, and you can see some graphics, you have a backlight problem. If you get no sound and cannot see graphic, then their is a high chance of your PSP being bricked. This means that you done something to interupt an upload or program in progress. The eeprom program is corrupted and the PSP will not boot up. The term Bricked, refers to your PSP being no better than a black Brick paper weight. I have heard of a repair for this called Pandoras Battery. I am not sure if the Pandoras battery really works to restore Bricked PSP's. It may be worth a try for you to take a chance on Pandoras Battery.

Power problems

Hi Gohan102,

Open the battery compartment, and remove the battery.  Look at the bottom inside corner for a little square sticker with has marks on it. is it dark or light,  If it is dark, your PSP has come in contact with moisture. I suspect that your PSP has gotten wet or damp.  If the sticker is dark, you need to keep your battery out for about 2 days, and keep the UMD door open and the whole PSP kept in a dry environment.  Try it after 2 days of drying to see if it is recovered. Good luck Gohan....

if the psp screen is anything like a laptop it will have a backlight that lights up the screen what can happen is you can break the light and while you will still see things on the screen when you look closely but it wont be illuminated. i had a friend that dropped his laptop and smashed the backlight he sent it away and got it fixed i suggest you send it to sony to get it fixed
