Question about Mintek DTV-233 23 in. TV/DVD Combo

Toshiba tv/dvd combo

I have a disc stuck inside the player, I have pushed the eject button one hundred times, on both the tv and the remote.  It won't eject...  It will still play the movie again, too bad it's the worst movie ever...  I have also tried unplugging it and fishing around inside with a tweezer.  I don't think that will work, it's too small to see anything inside.

I actually got it out.  I don't think there's a small hole on this one, it's just a slot on the side of the tv with felt around it...  I taped back the felt so i could see inside, and noticed it was the things holding the dvd in place that was the problem.  So I pushed on that thing while pressing eject and it spit out the dvd finally.

How did you push the things holding the DVD in place?

I have the same thing going on with our Toshiba. It is the two metal "things" that are not retracting and allowing the DVD to eject.

Is there a tiny little hole you can insert a paperclip into around the front of the cd.
if so use a large one if you have it , insert and press hard to eject.
if not then you will need help.
even if you get it out the eject motor belt is likely slipped or broken.

Does anyone know the numeric code to unlock the DVD tray inside this Toshiba 19LV61K TV/DVD? There is a disc stuck inside the DVD tray, and the film will play without a problem.

There is no such code to get out the strucked disc. you have to take out it by manual method. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.
If you insist on a numerical code, and have determined, won't do anything without it, try this alpha numerical code {VWXTB 028103820489} Followed by Menu button.
Good luck.

Is there a way to get the disc out without dismantling the entire TV? Disc is stuck, lock icon shows when eject button is pressed. Can TV be reset to factory specs?

Try the following. kindly update result here in comments

Depending on the model number of your DVD player, simultaneously press the POWER + STOP + EJECT buttons.

If the disc tray still does not open, simultaneously press the DISC1 + STOP + EJECT buttons.
NOTE: This step may not apply to all models as DISC1 is not available on all DVD players.

If this does not work and if the DVD player has DISPLAY and PREV buttons, press and hold the DISPLAY+PREV buttons for two seconds to unlock the drawer.

Disc will not eject from dvd player

Have you tried both the eject button on the DVD drive and the remote? Is there a disk jammed in the drive? Here is the manual:

most of the time there is a small hole near the eject button that you can unbend a paper clip and insert it into that will release the door.

here's a video.. it's a computer, but same principle:

Cant open dvd drawer

Sometimes DVD player drawers get stuck closed because the disc inside isn't seated properly. At other times the player may have another problem. The first step in discovering if it is the disc or another issue is to remove the disc. Most DVD players have a secret eject button. It allows you to open the drawer when a disc gets stuck and cannot be ejected normally.
For this you'll need a standard size paperclip.

  1. Unfold the paperclip and make it as straight as possible.
  2. Look closely at your DVD player . Push the tip the paper clip into the small hole on the tray cover on the front of the Toshiba. The hole is on the right side of the cover.
  3. Press inward gently with the paperclip until you feel a slight resistance, then continue pushing to engage the internal eject button. The tray should pop open partway.
  4. Gently pull the drawer until it's fully retracted. Be careful not to pull too far.
  5. Remove your disc from the drive.
  6. Before you reinsert another disc, use the remote and/or buttons on the player to close the door, and reopen it. You can also press carefully with your fingers. If you cannot open/close the drawer normally at this point, do not put in a new disc until you have repaired the problem.

My Toshiba VCR & DVD video recorder model D-VR4XSU won't eject a DVD disc from the player, neither by pressing the eject button on the remote nor by the eject button on the players console.

A temporary solution would be to use a paperclip to eject it; usually, any disk drive has a little hole that a paperclip can be stuck into which forces it to eject.

Have a Toshiba hlv87 tv/dvd combo that will not eject a good dvd

I've had the same problem. I called Toshiba support and all they could say was to unplug it. Since I already had done that, they were going to send a service person over for a couple hundred bucks (which they get a cut of) to take it apart. Haa

Have a vcr/dvd combo. The door will not open on dvd player.

A disc may be stuck inside it, preventing it from opening. You may have to remove the housing on the unit and look inside the dvd area to see if there is something stuck. It could also be broken or not getting power. Try unplugging it for a few minutes than trying it again, as well as holding down the eject button for a few seconds. Be patient after each button press, as the player is programmed to stop the disc and "park" the laser before ejecting.
Hope this helps!

It is usually a complete unit mounted inside.Don't stick anything in the slot to try to get it out. You'll end up damaging the unit and have to replace it.If you are mechanical, then you can remove the unit.Take the cover off, then manually eject the disc. That means finding the small motor that runs the mechanics and turning it by hand.Very slow process, but if your patient and take your time to get the disc out , then reinstall it and it will reset itself and should be ok.
