Need an exploded parts diagram for a Black ad Decker TRO 405 TY3 to trouble shoot a problem - the toast lever will not stay down.

  • Anonymous Mar 25, 2014

When you push the lever down, the it pups back up. If I hold the lever down the toast gets browned. How can I get the thing to catch?

You can get exploded parts diagrams on the Sears website www.searspartsdirect.com and typing in model number TRO 405. Black and Decker made essentially the same toaster oven for a number of years, and you will note that they all have the same exploded parts diagram. The circuit schematic for the series is shown for the TRO 405 and is the same for the TRO 200VA. The bad news is that only a few parts are available as of October 2011. There are some body parts for some models, plus the main switch assembly (where the power cord comes in - this is turned off when the door opens). The solenoid is available from abtecparts.com/Black_&_Decker_toaster_ovens.htm .

Wow, nice answer and excellent links to very useful diagrams and parts sources! I wouldn't have guessed to look at searspartsdirect.com and would have never found abtecparts.com. Thank you!

HOW DO I GET REPLACEMENT PART #TO1313-02 for my Black & Decker toaster Oven #TO1322SBD? I purchased the oven 5/27/2013 and it has not worked for a couple months.

B & D doesn't sell replacement parts, and only warantees the unit for 1 year.

Sorry, but you will need to replace the unit. Thank the lawyers who told them it is too risky.

I do not have an owner's manual for my Toaster R Oven, Model TRO490B. Please helpe to acquire one. Many thanks for your assistance and cooperation.

This address will take you to a page on Black and Decker's website with manuals. Scroll down until you find the manual that has the range of model numbers starting with TRO that include your number. You can download and print if off.

Received a B&D Convection,Toaster,Rotissere oven but did not get a operator's manual and am not familiar with the convection operation. Can I get a manual? I believe this oven is about 2 years old but...

Try the following site: http://useandcaremanuals.com/SearchManuals.aspx?SiteID=4 . Then scroll down or use the Find feature of your browser (under Edit). You want the manual for the TRO200 and TRO300 series toaster ovens for the TRO355. If you have a different model which seems likely (since the TRO300 series aren't convection models), scroll through the list for one that matches the TRO and either the whole model number or the first digit or two. (Usually the model number is on the back of the toaster oven on a plaque with the serial number.)

I hope this helps.

Toaster switch- Black and decker- TRO360TY6

I don't know if you can fix it but if you are good at basic diagnosis you can take off the right side and see if the toast latch is broken or perhaps out of place. This type of unit is not so easy to take apart and put back together. The parts fit is a bit strange.
