A Microsoft Product ID is a Microsoft generated code that links genuine Microsoft software with a genuine Microsoft license that allows the user to install and use the software with the authority of the copyright owner. Without a valid Product ID, the software is illegal and installing it and using it could qualify as software piracy and copyright theft which, in certain circumstances, could become a civil legal issue or even a law enforcement matter. Please be aware that, not being knowing about the Law does not usually qualify as a Defense in legal matters, when someone else's rights have been infringed.

The only legal downloads of Microsoft products are available from Microsoft. Microsoft does not currently offer downloads of old products like Microsoft Office 2007 or Office 2003. The only Microsoft Office product a user can download is the Trial version of the latest version of Microsoft Office in the market. At the moment what you can download is Microsoft Office 2010 Trial. Trial versions of Microsoft Office are free to download but can be used only for the usually 60 days of the limited trial period. After the trial period expires, to carry on using the software, the user must upgrade to the full version and buy an online Activation Code from Microsoft that unlocks the trial version's time limitation and allows perpetual use of the software from then onwards.

I advise you to use only a genuine licensed version of Microsoft Office or you will almost certainly have authorization problems such as the ones you are starting to experience, which defeat the very purpose of installing the software in the first place.

As an alternative option, you could buy and install a heavily discounted, genuine, licensed copy of Microsoft Office 2007 Professional Plus Edition starting from about $85 (plus shipping and packing) or Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus Edition for about $78 (plus shipping and packing) from similar websites a below (when you find them geographically local to you):

If this type of software is important to you but don't want to or can't afford the retail price of Microsoft Office, then you could download, install and use completely free Office software such as Open Office, which is very similar to Microsoft Office and can even open, edit and manage the majority of the most common types of Microsoft Office spreadsheets, databases and documents. You pay nothing at all to download, install and use Open Office. It is an Open Source software application.

I bought anote book with microsoft office home/student 2007 **** it kept asking for the proudct key which i couldn't found

It sounds as if your notebook came with Microsoft Office 2007 Home & Student Edition 60 Day Trial Version and that the trial period has now expired, requiring you to purchase and download an Activation Code from Microsoft to unlock the time limitation, if you want to continue using the software.
If, however, you are certain that the installed application is fully licensed and not a trial version, then all you need to do is to activate it by going to the Microsoft website and, under Support and Activation, allow the site to scan your computer and verify the validity of the license. If the software proves to be licensed it will automatically be validated and the usage and Automatic Updates restrictions lifted, removing the need for you to enter a Product ID.

If the software proves to be unlicensed or trial-expired, the
Microsoft website will offer you the chance to buy and download an Activation Code that will automatically unlock the time limitation and upgrade your trial version to a full version, validate and legitimize the installed Office software and automatically remove any usage limitations and Automatic Updates restrictions that you might be experiencing.

If this copy of Microsoft Office is unlicensed, then what you are probably experiencing are the first signs of usage restrictions and limitations that can ultimately end up in the application locking you out completely and therefore becoming totally unusable. As things stand you are probably already unable to benefit from Microsoft Automatic Updates, enhancements and security patches for Microsoft Office.

I would advise you to buy and install only a genuine licensed version of Microsoft Office Word 2007 or you will almost certainly have authorization problems, which defeat the object of installing the software.

You can buy a genuine licensed version of Microsoft Office 2007 Professional Plus Edition starting from about $85 or Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus Edition for about $78 (plus shipping and packing) from (and similar websites):

There are some websites online which claim that you can download Microsoft Office Word 2007 from them but as far as i know there is nowehere on the internet where you can download a genuine copy of any Microsoft Office software except the official Microsoft website.

The only legal downloads of Microsoft products are available only from Micrsosoft and Microsoft do not offer downloads of old products like Microsoft Office 2007 or Office 2003. The only Microsoft Office product you can download is the trial version of whatever latest version of Microsoft Office that is available. Currently you can only download Microsoft Office 2010 trial. Trial versions of Microsoft Office are free to download but can only be used for the limited trial period. After the trial period ends you have to upgrade to the full version and pay Microsoft for an online activation code which unlocks the trial version's time limitation and allows you to use it indefinitely.

If you need this type of software but do not want to or cannot afford to pay what Microsoft Office costs, then you can use completely free Office software like OpenOffice, which is very similar to Microsoft Office and can even be used to open most Microsoft Office documents. You don't have to pay anything at all to download OpenOffice.

Ive heard about the free microsoft office 2010 download,so im trying it now if i could really get it,but ive been trying for a couple of hour but still i cant...can you help me?

It looks like a Microsoft problem. The server error is something on their end. After it's fixed you should be able to download the Office 2010 Trial version you were after. Until they get it working all you can do is just what the site says: try again later.

There's no need to worry about missing the download, so if you can't get it now just try again occasionally. You don't need to keep at it over and over. What you're downloading is a 60-day trial version of the software, and as far as I know Microsoft has no plans to stop offering it.

Your best option is to download the trial version from the Adobe website.

If you get the trial version from Adobe's website, you'll have the confidence in knowing the product came from the manufacturer and it hasn't been modified. You may be able to find it on other sites but there's no guarantee the code hasn't been modified.

The Adobe website isn't working correctly right now so I would wait a day or so and try it again later. If you still continue to have problems downloading it, call Adobe and they may be able to send you an evaluation cd.
