Question about Brady ID PAL Thermal Label Printer
Everytime I hit print it says printing but nothing prints.
I've changed the batteries and cartridge still no luck.
1. Turn off the printer.
2. Turn it over and remove the battery cover.
3. Looking above the batteries, you will see a square opening into the upper part of the printer. In that opening you will see a white gear. Sometimes it seizes. Take a long, thin object (screw driver, letter opener, etc) and rotate the gear. It does not matter which way you turn it.
4. Because your range of motion is limited in the small opening, turn the gear in the same direction about 10-12 times so it gets a full revolution.
5. Now turn on your printer and try it again.

We ended up purchasing a #8 Torx driver to open up the unit. Found a piece if vinyl label stuck between two gears. Once that was removed it worked again.

Hi! I have a powermark printer...when printer is "online" it gives an error "unknown supply tape. Reload Tape". I reload the tape but when you click the print command the error " unknown supply tape. reload tape" pops-up again..

I had the same problem. I opened up the unit and found that the small drive gear (right next to the one mentioned above) had lifted up on the shaft and was no longer engaging the other gear. I could have probably noticed this from the battery compartment. I pushed it back down and now the unit works fine.
