Hello when we want to watch a dvd it dosnt come on until we change from hdmi to another the tv is lg32lc5 is this standard .

I have the same problem.

it is likely you have the hdmi cable going to your cable box and the dvd is cabled to aux or tv input . so that would be correct.
you can connect the dvd to the cable box aux and then just switch it.
