Lava Lamp is new, only turned on 3 times. Larger in size. Spring is attached to blob on the bottom. Should I leave it on to heat up and hope the spring falls back down?

The coil spring in the bottom helps to spread the heat through the blob. Once it has been displaced it will take quite some time for the blob to liquify enough for the coil to be able to settle back to the bottom. It may take as long as two hours for an extra-large one to liquify. You will have to be very patient, but turn the lamp on and LEAVE IT ALONE.

323 L Husqvarna Trimmer pull cord wont retract. Put in a new spring driver, other spring is fine. The plastic Drivers are holding the spring in its spot. I've tried the bolt tight and lose.

Check binding of the pulley on it post, that washer is not biding the pulley. Too much side play between pulley and post will cause binding. Also make sure spring in seated in the housing correctly.

  • Rope length before tying knots 30"
  • Rope size no larger than #4 (1/8") Preferablely #3-1/2 (7/64)
  • Tension on pulley. wound tight and back off approxiametly 1 turn.

My tornado lava lamp doesn't work. A little plastic piece just bounces around on the bottom.

It's difficult to say based on your limited description. A lava lamp is a first of all, a lamp. Does the incandescent lamp light up? If not, replace it (it's the heat source which creates the swirling action in the attached "lava" globe). As for the plastic piece, perhaps it's part of the lamp-holder socket that broke off due to heat. Perhaps part of the switch.
In any case, the light light bulb probably burnt out. Believe it a standard 40 watt bulb, but be absolutely certain to check before replacing as you do not want to put a bulb with a higher wattage in there due to the confined space inside the lamp.

I have a Sony lcd data projector- VPL-SC50.. There is a big black blob in the middle, with other lines near the edges. And the blob is growing larger now. But it does not look like a burn out, it looks...

Normally a "blob" on an LCD is a delamination of one or more of the LCD panels. But, they are usually not black. You may have a poor ribbon cable connection from the main board to the LCD panels....there is a ribbon connection to each of the Red, Green and Blue panels. It's either that or a main board failure, but certainly soemthing you want the factory or other authorized service center to check out.

Good luck.

Need radiant trays & lava rock replacements for GE Monogram 24" grill model # ZGG24L20BSS Natural Gas.

The tray and lava-rock is available at most larger retail hardware stores. You may not find the exact tray for your model, just get one of equal size.

Lava lamp problems

If it has been shaken or tuned over, then the liquid has mixed with the wax, which is why is doesn't circulate. You may be able to fix this by turning the lamp on until the lava starts to break up, then turning if off and letting it cool. Repeat this up to six times to get the liquid and the wax to separate. However, it may be irreversible.

Turns off after 1-2 mins like it got unpluged dell dimension 2350plus the clip to the heat exchange on top of the cpu broke

it's probably the cpu overheating because of the broken clip. You'll need to buy a new heatsink for the cpu (get some thermal paste at the same time). Take the old one off, clean the compound off the top of the cpu. Put a pea-size blob of thermal paste on the cpu and attach the new heatsink.

Lava Lamp is new, not working, spring loose on bottom, no blobs

The lamp is made of wax and alcohol. Try inverting the bottle several times. The aim is to get the wax to fall to the bottom. Try shaking it, especially when the fluid is warm. This may help break the wax up to where it can begin cycling on its own.....careful, though, you don't want to burn your hand. I have done this several times, and it works!
