You could use fine steel wool to smooth out scratches. If the original finish was glossy, spray plate with light coats of clear acrylate

Dis is unreadable for the game black ops

There is a good chance that your game is scratched. Try cleaning it using the steps below:

Hold the disk by the outer edge (side with writing on it should face towards the floor) and make sure your fingers don't touch the clear part of the disk.

Dampen a soft cloth that will not scratch the surface (microfiber cleaning cloths work best). Starting from the center of the disk, wipe in a straight line to the outer edge. Do not rub in circular motions. Repeat until entire surface has been cleaned.

If this doesn't work, try restarting the Xbox and opening and closing the disk tray a few times.

If it is still unreadable, I'd recommend taking the disk to a local game store. Many places will offer a "buffing" service to clean the disk that can cost approximately $5-$10. There is chance that this will render the game unusable, so only do this as a last resort.

Hope this helped,

I have a Kohler Overflow tub with a faceplate covering the screws that would allow me to get to the trip lever...the lever must be stuck "down" because the tub won't drain. How do I take off...

Hey, I think I've got the solution for your situation.

First off, you want to get a caulk remover and apply that on all the caulking between the tub and the faceplate. Let this soak for 20 minutes. Then you will want to take a utility knife to score around the edges of the faceplate between the faceplate and the tub. Be careful not to scratch the tub! When the caulking has been completely cut through all the way around the face plate, take putty knife and pry the faceplate from the side of the tub. Check out the lever, or see if it is just gunk build up on the filter. Either way I hope this helps, and good luck!

Remove protective film wrap from under water dispenser faceplate

I have this same model and was facing the same issue. I even emailed Whirlpool but that didn't help.

You can remove the faceplate by removing the spill tray and unscrewing the two small screws in the bottom. Be careful not to scratch the finish while removing the screws.

The faceplate is held on by several plastic hooks around all edges. Carefully grip the bottom of the faceplate (I put my thumbs on the inside where the spill tray was and my index finger below the bottom front of the faceplate). Get a good grip by pinching the faceplate and pull down and out to remove the bottom. Then push the faceplate up to unhinge the top.

You can let the faceplate hang by the wires while you remove the plastic. I'd also use a stainless steel cleaner while the faceplate is off to get rid of any fingerprints you may have left behind.

To reinstall, hang the faceplate on the top 3 hooks making sure there is a snug fit. Then pull down on the bottom and push it in. It took me two tries to get it back on.

The plastic is stronger than it looks but you'll still have to go slow and be careful with it. Good luck!

Tappan series 110 gas range

Takes about 15 minutes to fix. You will need a philips head screwdriver, pair of scissors and a butter knife. What you're going to do is cut the wire to the beeper. Your clock will still function.

Start by removing the glass faceplate that encloses your clock. By removing the 2 screws on either side of the metal housing, you can remove the faceplate (you'll have to remove the clock's pushbuttons, but that isn't hard, either. I used some spring-loaded pliers to get a good purchase, then pulled straight back. Oh yeah. You need pliers, too. Don't worry, you won't break the buttons; they'll snap out and push back in, later). Use the butter-knife to carefully work the glass out of the metal frame. The actual clock is secured by a couple more screws, which are easily removed, once you've removed the abovementioned faceplate.
[The clock, btw, is made by Fridgidaire (part # AP2125434 ), in case you want to replace it. Costs more than $130(!)]
If you haven't already unplugged the stove, now is a good time. Do not touch the two metal connectors of the two most prominent wires on the back of the clock, when the unit is plugged in! Yes, it's the voice of experience, talking...
You will notice, when you're looking at the back of the clock unit, a small metal disc, enclosed in plastic. If you plug in the stove, and listen, you should hear the beeping coming from this area. There is a medium-sized hole in the middle of the plastic housing, allowing access to the metal disc. There are two very small wires, red and black, leading into the housing and attached to the disc in two places. One wire is attached to essentially the center part of the disc. The other wire (in my case, the black wire) is attached rather toward the outer edge of the metal disc. The outer edge is even a slightly different color, so you can identify the two parts. In my case, the sound was emitting from the outer edge, as opposed to the center portion of the disc. If you press a Q-tip against the center portion of the disc (thru the hole in the plastic housing), and the beeping continues, unchanged, the sound is probably coming from the outer edge. You can check by bending the Q-tip, and working the tip over to the edge of the metal disc--by applying pressure, you should hear the sound change, slightly.
Unplug the unit, and cut the wire that corresponds to the part of the disc the sound is coming from--that should solve the problem!

Change headlight

Doing a search I saw your question come up, hopefully this is not an old question. ANyways, under the front edge of your fairing there is a small black rectangular plastic piece held on with 2 screws and two clips. Remove the clips by pulling on the centers, they should come right out, this will give you access to the back of the headlight. There you will need to unplug the headlight and the give the light a turn and it should come out of there. Make sure not to touch the new bulb with your bare fingures as this will shorten the life of the bulb, clean with alcohol if you do, hope this helped.

Typical speed question

It spins typically from 600-3000 RPMs. This single motion allows a circular polisher to level the clear coat that surrounds a scratch so that the scratch’s “edges” disappear. Professionals who want to completely remove a deep scratch must use a circular polisher.

Putting on faceplate for samsung t319

hi you best bet is go to a repair mobile shop if are in doubt to try this .
you'll need a small Philips head screwdriver to complete the installation. To take off original faceplate, remove 2 screws located below the inside display (screws are hidden under stickers). Next, gently pry off the faceplate along the edges between faceplate and phone with a Faceplate Removal Pry Tool. When re-attaching screws, do not over-tighten screws
