Hello RL,RED=R, WHITE=W1 or W ,GREEN=G ,YELLOW=Y or Y1,BROWN=O. O is reversing vlv.You don't have a common with 5 wires. The 5000 will run off battery power as common is optional. The backlight screen feature needs a common to work.

Will a th5000 work with a ruud dual fuel

Are you talking about a pro 5000 Thermostat??? if so then NO it will not work. With this stat you do not have a temperature lock on the heat pump. Say you don't want the heat pump to run below 25 degrees. it won't shut the heat pump. And you don't want the heat pump to run at the same time as the furnace. With the Pro 8000 3 heat and 2 cool thermostat you can lock out the heat pump at 25 degrees outside an turn the furnace on. You will have to install an outdoor thermostat hooked up to the pro 8000 it usually comes with the stat. Honeywell products.

On my thermostat which is a white-rodgers the flame symbol is flashing the heat is set to 68 but it stays on 66. I have a split unit Ruud. The problem happens at night when it is cold.

Is this a heat pump system? If so I would recommend switching the thermostat to aux. or emegency heat at night when it is cold outside. The heat pump will not keep up when the outside temperatures are real cold.

I have a TH8000 Vision Pro. It is controling a

Whats' so hard is the Honeywell thermostat has a built in 1@ differential. It is not adjustable.
You might ask your installer about a time delay relay installed in the furnace to break the thermostat heat wire (usually white wire).
Most time delay relays are 90 seconds. But that might be enough to reduce the furnace cycling.

No Auxiliaty heat with new thermostat

The Vision Pro is a great t-stat and I have installed many of them with great results. I am wondering though if it is set up correctly. Did you go in and make sure that it is set for heat pump and for 2 stage heating? Look on the instructions how to get into the advance installer options. Go through that meanu and make sure that everything ig set correctly for your type of heating system and that it is set for 2 stage heating. From what you have here and I can tell the wiring should be okay that is why I think that it is in the t-stat programming.

Focus pro th5110 will only run a split system heat pump in heat

your rev valve wire needs to be hooked to O/B them you need to get into the install menuby pressing the button on the far left bottom and up arrow at the same time. then you will need to set # 1 (systeem type) to #5 if you dont have a # 5 to right of # 1 then you have the wrong stat and it wont work w/ a heat pump. if you do then hit next till you get to #2 and set for 0 if its a RUUD or a RHEEM then set to 1. nothing else really matters to much
