Sometimes there's a mouse pic on one of your function keys to local/unlock pad. Hold the function key while tapping the f key once to unlock

I have a acer AOV250 note book for an year, suddenly there is a screen display problem were the screen is blinking.this issue was there for long time i have given to . Can you please help me to solve this...

I think there's a bit of a language barrier here...
I need to know what you mean exactly by blinking...
I don't know what you mean by "I have given to"
describe blinking...is the screen going from normal to black, or normal to white, or is there never any text on it, is the screen blank with just a blinking cursor...please be VERY specific about EXACTLY what the screen is doing.

Dim screen, bright mouse pointer

Right click the battery icon on the right bottom of the screen in the task bar. The performance profile may be set to energy saver causing monitor to dim to save energy.

Laptop screen goes blank at random times.

Defective CCFL backlight may has the following symptom:
  • Screen flashs on red/pink and off.
  • Picture stays on in red and slowly be come normal.
  • Picture flickering with dim display.
  • Picture flickering on and off.
All these symptoms indicate that the LCD backlight lamp (CCFL Lamp)
has reached the end of the life and all you need to do is replacing the CCFL lamp.

Dim display

Check power settings as it may be in battery saving mode, for games it should be set to maximum performance. There will be settings for brightness and contrast possibly using the function key and cursor arrows. It may help to change the screen, which is moderately difficult if you have a disassembly diagram, but it is worth trying to change the inverter first.

Drfting cursor

This is a well known occurance with laptops and is not something you can fix. Occasionally the manufacturer will release a patch to try and help, but this is very rare.
