HD Hookup on Dish Network 2nd Location

I have the Mitsubishi TV as my 2nd and it is hooked up to a Dish Network HD satellite system.  The only feed is from the antenna wire that hooks into the "Antenna A" connection.  There is no receiver for the Mitsubishi TV.  The only receiver is hooked up to the primary TV downstairs.  The picture on the Mitsubishi is not HD quality and is terrible.  How can I improve the quality?

In order for you to receive HD broadcasting you must have a HD-TV, otherwise you wont get the picture in HD. Also I should point out that you need to make sure that the signal itself is being broadcast in HD.

How do i get tv to pick up channels?

Hi Meagan, my name is Cheri Torres and I work with DISH Network Internet Response Team. I came across your post and wanted to see if I could help. Connecting your TV to your DISH Network receiver should be fairly easy, depending on the connections you are using. If you are using an HDMI cable you will need to connect one side of it to your TV and the other end into your DISH receiver, as long as you have an HD receiver. If you do not have an HD receiver you are probably going to want to use composite cables(red, white and yellow). If you are using either of these cables you are going to have to set your TV to an input in order to receive the DISH picture. You can select an input by finding a button on the TV remote or the TV itself that is listed as input, source, AUX, mode or video. You will need to cycle through each one until you find the DISH picture on one of them. Once you have the picture you will need to press SAT on your DISH remote and everything should be working fine from there. I hope this information is useful and if you have further questions feel free to ask!

I have dish network hd but hdmi does not work so i hooked it up direct whats the best one to put it on 1080pi or 480.480pi,720 or what

Hi my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network and I see youhave DISH Network HD the hdmi does not work. Depending on what the TV is set to;480, 480i, 720, 1080i will depend on what you have your receiver set to. Afteryou check your TV settings press the buttons of Menu-6-8 and it will take youto HDTV Setup. Make sure your TV settings match your DISH Network HD settings;if you have anymore questions please e-mail me at Michael.houston@dishnetwork.com.

Receiving HD from Dishnetwork

Hi. You will love the dish. I have enjoyed it in my home for a number of years. I like the HDMI cable because it is the best quality and simple to install, one cable does it all. If you don't have one yet get it at walmart where it is about half the cost of other retailers. All satellite TV is HD without you doing anything special. So yes, it will do HD from whatever input you choose.

Hi there Phil...... this switch from analog to digital has lots of folks scratching their heads. Fortunately I have some great news for you. The signal coming from the Dish network does not need a converter as it is already digital.

How are you hooked up? I.E. terrestrial, satellite, ?

If the channel on HD isn't strong enough to pull the signal, sound won't play because it isn't locked. Because you have sound on non hd it is a signal issue not the tv.

Lost my picture when went to pip

Check your PIP source. I couldnt figure out my LCD pip, and why it wasnt working either until I was able to switch the source. It was automatically using a source that didnt have anything hooked up to, I had to switch mine in order for it to work. Try that and see if that might be the case. let me know. thanks!

Only green when using HD component cables

Your hookup may be wrong, you may have things reversed in your component HU. Recheck your color code on y, pb and pr.
