Question about D-Link Platinum RangeBooster N DWA-642 (DWA642) Pre-802.11n Wireless Adapter
I'm using a Linksys modem. I'm getting a wireless connection on my work laptop (Dell Latitude). However, my Compaq Presario V2000 is telling me that my Linksys has excellent signal strength but Limited or no connectivity. I've put an ethernet cable between my Compaq and my Linksys modem. it tells me I have no problems, connected at 100 Mbps. What's up?
Try to remove the preferred networks on your Presario then try connecting again. If you have wireless security enabled on your router, you have to enter that. Make sure that the settings on your router is the same as your wireless adapter so that they can synchronize.
If you have difficulty with that, just ask me and I'll answer as soon as I can.
