Give Royal a call at 1-800-524-0799 they should be able to help.

  • rhoff43 Feb 28, 2011

I just called Royal about getting replacement bushings, and they said they are out of production and unavailable. Is there possibly an alternate source?
    Thanks!

Sorry, thats my only source...unfortunately with consumer machines they have a life span of a few years and then they move onto another model...the cost of the machines does not warrant them keeping parts inventory for many years.

When driving my drive line kicks out of transmission and does not go back in till i manualy put it back in why

I think there is a lack of understanding of terminology in your statement
The drive line is that section from the gear box to the diff or if front wheel drive from the diff to the wheels
If it was to kick out as you say , there is no way that it would go back in as it would be all smashed up under the vehicle
so lets decipher what you are trying to say
The top gear (over drive ) jumps out of gear and I have to physically reselect the gear
would that be what the problem is?
if so then the problem will be from several things
loose gear box on bell housing or failed engine mounts
gear not fully engaged on selection
worn bearings on out put shaft
worn extension housing bush
selector mechanism worn out or loose
It is fixable but if you go to the local garage you will be sold a perfectly good gear box for what is basically nothing wrong

Your fuser assembly is not rotating, the drive gear is broken, the bushings inside the bearing is broken or worn out.worst case fuser drive motor. those fusers are rated at 500k. Take the front cover of the fuser assembly off and inspect that area for the problem. look for broken gear.

Thanks! I have a 7x Crosscut Paper Shredder, Model # PCUA:29053U. The teeth are jammed due to I believe a build up of paper. I have run it on reverse & tried to pick out the paper. The motor runs but...

If the motor runs but the cutting teeth dont turn then you have stripped or broken a gear in the drive train. You can get replacement parts from Royal at 1-800-524-0799.

I have a hobart a-200 mixer that had the brass drive gear go out. I rebuilt the transmission and used a parts breakdown to clean out and rebuilt the whole tranny. Now I have no 1st gear. Under a load...

Loosen the two planetary nuts, should be a thin nut and an acorn nut. With these loose make sure the large nut on top of the transmission is tight. Push the planetary all the way up on the shaft and turn the thin nut up until snug. Back the thin nut off 1/4 turn. Hold the thin nut in position and lock the acorn nut against it. The planetary must have a very small amount of up and down play.

I need a repair manual and parts manual

Once you're familiar with it, the A200 is OK to work on. Just pay close attention to the sequence in which the gears are removed and lay them out on a table in that sequence. You'd need to remove most of the gears from the center planetary shaft, which requires removal of the shift lever (right side, 4 screws). You shouldn't need to remove the planetary (lower end that holds the attachments and rotates). Eventually you'll be able to remove the smaller shafts as assemblies and replace the brass worm gear.

You'll want to scoop out the grease with brass shavings in it (replace all the grease to be thorough, especially if it has broken down and is very runny or very thick (the grease should be a little bit thinner than the consistency of peanut butter), spin the removed bearings by hand and listen for rough operation (particularly the smaller bearings on the upper end of the two small shafts (bearings in the upper bearing cover). Also check to see that the two brass bushings, which reside in two of the gears removed from the center planetary shaft, spin freely BOTH on the planetary shaft AND in the gear they reside in (if not, one of your speeds probably won't work).

For an experienced technician, the job would take approximately 1-1.5 hours unless the old grease is all cleaned out thoroughly to replace with all new grease (thorough cleaning requires the removal of planetary and planetary shaft), and thorough cleaning can be a time consuming process. Then you might get closer to 2.5 hours.

My 1988 audi 90 does not hold 2nd 3rd pr 4th gear. I have taken the bracket off on top and shifted with the rod and still no good. It is finding the gears just not holding them. What could it be?

There are a few reasons why that can happen, most likely the input shaft to the transmission has too much play or wobble in it from a worn out pilot bearing/bushing, the main bearing is worn out, or the synchronizer keys are damaged or worn out and no longer holding, or the shifter rod de-tents or springs are worn out. The only thing that might be repairable without removing the transmission would be worn out shifter de-tents or springs.

Toyota mr2 sw20 stuck in fourth gear

Did you check the bushings that connect the cables to the trans? They are a popular issue in not letting it change gears, getting stuck, or notchy shifting. They get worn...there are a full brass replacement part for cheap. Hope that helps! let me know.
