SOURCE: Hi , i have a ducati 900 ss 1998 model fule

The battery is a storage unit. If it's old, it can have problems, but it isn't likely. Besides...
"if its the battery wot drains the power from it"
From what?!?!?!!
You likely have to keep charging the battery because the batt is not receiving a charge from the bike's alternator.
Why not? Trace the wires from the batt. Find where the insulations bad or a connector came apart. If not wiring, then the alternator is not putting out any power to keep the batt charged. That may be a bad voltage regulator or a bad alternator.
For more help, get the Service manual from the dealer or from Clymer books. Another source is the 646 stacks in the reference section of the library.

SOURCE: ducati 900 ss fuel injection

I have to have you start at the basics first on this one. Check the spark plugs, the plug wires, and most importantly, the timing belt tension. Check all connections going to the crank sensor, and also check the rectifier connections and the coil pack connections as well as the spark boxes. Also, when was the last valve adjustment/belt replacement? Usualy the injected Duc's don't ever pick up missfire conditions. The Carburated versions are sometimes known for it, but usualy it's the result of the carbs out of synchronization. I would be willing to say this is a tune up issue rather than a broken part issue. If it were a broken part, you'd be experiencing the issue almost all the time, not just at high rpm's and high load. Check the tune up, let me know if anything looks out of the ordinary in there.

SOURCE: what oil does a 2002 ducati 750 ss need

Any synthetic motorcycle oil will do. I wouldn't use anything but. I think 5w30 , is what they recommend.

When i start my 900 ss it idles ok for about 10 srconds then the idle goes up to 4000

I the bike has carbs (not fuel injected) then an air leak between the carb and cylinder has developed. This leans the mix and increases idle speed. Usually the rubber parts get hard and then cracks show up, and that is where the extra air gets in.

2000 Ducati 900ss idle speed seems high

That's waaay too high ! Very hard on the tranny when you click it into gear at that rpm, find your idle screw and turn it down, should not be over
1,000 at warm idle, info should be in owners manual...good luck to you friend...Tim

Idle adjustment

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, the "choke" in a 2002 Ducati Sport 900 is not really a choke, it is an idle lever that increases the idling slightly above normal. A real choke would enrich the mixture by adding more gas and limiting the air and is performed by the ECU. This conditioned is triggered by the temperature sensors and kicks in only when cold. Corrective action would then be to adjust the idle RPM.

Just a start, do postback how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.
