I have the same problem as well. I opened up the back of the unit and the clicking sound is coming from the power supply board. I am thinking it maybe a capacitor or something. I am going to take the power supply board to a tv repair man and try to find out whats going on. I don't recommend opening up your tv as you can really hurt yourself and or kill yourself if you do so, even if it is unplugged.

Has anyone figured this one out yet? I'm getting the clicking sound too. I've fixed smaller tvs before, but this is the first rear projection tv i've worked on.

I was watching TV and suddenly the screen went black. No picture, no sound. On/off timer LED on TV started blinking. I could not turn it on (or off) with remote or ON switch on TV. I found that if I...

The television is shutting itself off to protect itself. The blinking light is a code pattern. The specific code determines whether or not you need an LCD Controller Unit, Main Board, power supply or something else. You would need the service manual. There are parts distributors you can get it from and the parts as well. If soldering and tv repair is not something you are entirely familiar you may want to seek a tv repair person. The manufacturer's support may walk you through the service menus to complete a factory reset depending upon the symptoms.

Hi i have a timer outdoors running xmas lights its remote after i turn them off the lights are very dim i have to pull plug out before they go off ive had three timers so far the lights r led

This sounds like load leakage current through the timing device. The timers shown in the picture use electronic control components and do not turn the power all the way off like a light switch, especially if not grounded properly. This can cause issues with LED lights since they are basically diodes and can "leak" power in reverse bias.

Most of these timers have a three-prong plug - they should be plugged into a grounded, three prong outlet so the residual current is shunted off during the "off" cycle.

In plain English, the circuit should be grounded.

You could try another type of timer, like one meant for air conditioners or lamps - they use a basic on/off switch. However, these devices may not be rated for outdoor use so be careful.

Brake light stays on 2003 beetle and brake not on

It sounds like a bad relay, underneath your dash on the drivers side there is a set of relay switchs. One is relay 173 (running light/brake light relay). My car never came with one which is werid because its required, idk it was missing and my break light would come on and flash and beep. Once i replace the relay it stopped and worked fine after that. idk if you experience the same problem.

No Picture - Sound

I just had this problem fixed. In my case, it was because the insulation on the CRTs was cracked, and when it would warm up, the shielding would separate and would let 5000 volts arc across the main board. This, obviously, damaged the board. The tech didn't catch the arcing right away, so they replaced the main board twice before they used a high-temp RTV to patch the insulation.

The power-cycling was a result of the damaged board.

The point of this story is that the broken part may be a symptom of the real problem.

I hope this helps someone!

Picture went off still had sound then i turned off at panel now only red timer/standy stays lit sony 61" projection

First plug in again and look at led light, the amount it blinks tells what is wrong. Then if it stays lite it tells something also. You can try Display-channel 5-volume +- Power(service mode). Then Channel 8-enter(test reset). If this doesn't work then you will have to replace somethings like F601, R607, Q601, IC601, R612, VDR601.
