Hi Inorder to brighten up the screen ,try to find the key present on keyboard like "Fn" and also one more which resembles like sun. This Sun like key will be present in the Function key(F1, F2 Etc) Press both of the button at same time and adjust the brightness as per you requirement.
And also you can change the same in the power options in the properties where we can change the screensaver
just keep looking at F1 to F12.there you will see a symbol like Sun .probably it will be Dark sun and brighten sun.while keep pressing Fn key press that Brighten Sun key.screen brightness will be increased .if it is already Full,Screen back light or Inverter circuit is defective
Greetings to brighten or darken the screen it would be using the FN key simultaneousness while pressing the icon key some are sunshine and half moon for dark look for the obvious key that looks like it would either be a light or dark symbol. Thanks for using FixYa! Do not forget to place a vote. John
You can use the function keys to try brightening the screen, but it doesn't seem like it would help. Hold down the function key (the blue "Fn" key next to the Windows logo key) and press the up arrow in the lower right corner of the keyboard repeatedly. Every time you press the arrow (with the function key held down) it should brighten the screen by one degree.
If the backlight and inverter have both been replaced, the problem is most likely either the screen itself, or a pinched cable somewhere in the connection between the screen and the motherboard or video card. If you know how to take the laptop apart, you can check for pinched cables or harnesses -- if you don't see any, it's most likely the screen.
are you on your battery or plugged in? It's not likely to make it as dark as you described but if you press the function key 'fn' key and usually the up arrow key (which has a sun symbol) it should brighten. From there if this dioesn't work you can try downloading new graphics drivers as last ditch effort but after that will require opening and checking connection to make sure screen hasn't died.
Go to Control Panel...to DISPLAY...and you should either find a adjustment there to brighten your screen. Or look On the "F-Series" keys or somewhere on your keyboard for a Brighten SUN or dark SUN, which you have to press the blue key along with that F series key to brighten or darken the laptop. Good luck
