We have a 5100 running on a Mac that is 9 months old. The printer worked fine until about a month ago. We went to print a 7 page paper and it spit out 7 blank pages. We printed again and it printed 2 of 7. We have reseated the ink head and replaced both ink cartridges. We have installed the latest software. It seemed to print for a day and now is back to nothing. Any ideas?
I am currently having the same problem with a 17" iMac Intel Core Duo. The printer worked fine for a few months, now it will only print in black and white and sometimes in color that is extremely faded. I have tried every troubleshooting tip in the book and still no luck.

no,kodak replace printheads free of cost, and if they send a printhead and that doesnt solve issue and in next 30 days,u have same issue, then kodak sends a replacement printer. and esp-3 printers are considered o be in warranty tilll now even if they are 24 months old. kodak is the best.. ur issue will be resolved.dont worry
try cleaning the print heads, this should solve or at least help the problem...check your owners manual it should tell you how to clean the print heads..there are different intstructions on different units
Contact Kodak with your problem. The problem is in the print head. Kodak will send you a new print head free, then follow the instructions that are inclosed to change the print head. DO NOT TRY TO CHANGE IT WITHOUT READING THE INSTRUCTIONS. You may damage the new head and they will not replace it a second time for free.
Go to Kodak website, look for support, and repair. Online testing will probably determine that a new printhead is needed and they will probably send you a new one. My printer is only 9 months old and it has same problem.
Had the same issue... No black ink. Called the # from "Solution #1" guest, 18004216699. Had to patiently go through all the basic trouble shooting stuff like calibration, print head clean, demo print, etc. Once I went through that, they issued me a new print head for free, no shipping charges or anything. Just did this today, but they say I should have the print head in 3 days.
For all of those problems, you need to replace the Printhead. This is one of the most common issues among the Kodak All in One Printers, they simply stop printing text. However, it seems that Kodak is sending out some new printheads that work so much better, so you should get in contact with their support and have them replace their printheads. Call 1-800-421-6699.
