You need in the states 110-115 V make sure the outlets are grounded and the wires are connected to the right terminals.
Black to the brass screw and not to the silver. White on the silver screw and green or bare to the ground (green or regular) screw

You may not have enough voltage at the wall outlet. you need to check to see if your pushing enough electricity for the unit to power up.

the tv has a minimum wattage requirement an electrician will be able to tell you if you need to up the circuit breaker in amps but i would recommend a different one than the one who "built" the addition" just to double check his work

I agree with dutchman05 Even though the lcd tvs I have seen will work in a 240 environment hence 110 to 240. the minimum you need for the tv is 110 however if you cant supply the wattage for the tv the tv may simply shut down. easy check carefully move the tv to another location and plug it in and see if it powers up

Try unplugging from outlet for fifteen seconds. Press the power button for a few seconds "before" plugging back in. Now plug back into the wall outlet and try turning it on to see if this reset the TV's settings.

WON TURN ON

For the first step, try using the button on the TV itself.
Secondly, check if the power cord is snug, and not burnt. Sometimes after a blackout, there would be a power surge, and that might burn your plug.

If both doesn't work, the fuse in your TV may be blown, or the Power Supply may also be burnt too. If this happens, you're going to have to hire an expert to help replace the broken parts.

Note that in some TV models, the fuse can be replaced by users. If this is your case, try checking the fuse to see if it's blown or not.

Gog 2816 satellite reciever, cant tune as i dont know the password. how can i reset it?

Instructions
    • 1 Check the TV and make sure the channel is set to 3 or 4 for the primary TV set, or channel 60 for the UHF (secondary) set, if the receiver is a "dual-mode" device.
    • 2 Check all connections on the back of the receiver. Make sure all cabled connections are tightened and all plugs are securely plugged in.
    • 3 Check for a key card loaded in the card slot on the receiver. If you have a key card, slowly and carefully remove the key card. Leave the card out for at least 30 seconds, and then re-insert the card.
    • 4 Unplug the main power cord from the back of the receiver. Wait at least 30 seconds and then plug the power cord back into the receiver.
    • 5 Press the "Power" button on the front of the receiver to power on the device. Allow the receiver several minutes to acquire a signal and download any additional updates. The receiver is reset.

My LG washer won't power up

Double check the cord to make sure all the wires are hooked up to the washer correctly, check your breaker/fuse box to make sure you don't have a tripped breaker or blown fuse, and check the outlet for power by plugging a known working item into it or using a circuit checker.

If the washer is getting power, try holding the power button down(if there is one) for 3-5 seconds.

Have an insignia tv that won't power on...was off..made popping noise...won't power on. checked power in both the surge protector it was in & wall. all other items plugged into surge protector work....

Try connecting the TV directly to a different wall outlet and check. If the issue persists, try power resetting the TV. Turn Off the TV and remove the power plug from the wall outlet for 1 minute and reconnect it and check the operation. If the issue persists, then the TV requires service.

My Westy 47 TV has a very strange power-up problem! First, I found that the power supply was bad, I couldn't repair it, so I bought a replacement from ShopJimmy. The replacement seems to be working fine, and sometimes the TV works fine. The little green LED near the bottom edge of the controller board lights up when you connect the AC power, as it should. There is also a small green LED near the upper edge of the controller board that apparently lights only up when the controller is working properly. I've replaced the 470 mFd, 16 V. 'Lytic on the controller board, as everyone says to do. I still observed about 0.8 Vp-p of digital signals on the 5 Volt buss with the replacement capacitor these signals looked kind of like a 300 kHz clock and some other misc. digital stuff, so I added a couple of 0.1 mFd disc ceramics directly across it on the bottom side of the board. That reduced these signals to about 0.4 Vp-p, but the TV still won't turn on. The orange pilot light on the front is lit, but neither the buttons nor the remote will turn it on. The only way I can get the TV to turn on is to do the following: 1. disconnect the two power cables going to the two lamp inverter boards; 2. plug the AC power cable in. The 2nd green LED on the upper portion of the controller board now lights up when AC power is applied. 3. plug in both power cables to the two inverter boards while the power is on. The TV now works fine - all of the lamps light up, good picture, blue LED on the front panel, the remote works, etc. However, if I turn the TV off, and try to turn it back on, the small green LED on the upper controller board goes off, and the set won't come on! I've tried holding the on/off button down for over 10 seconds I read that this might re-boot the controller to no avail. The only way to get it back on is to go thru the 3 above steps again. I've read that there appear to be several versions of the firmware, and I wonder if this might be a firmware problem. If so, how/where can I get the proper firmware to install? Any suggestions? HELP! Please If someone would like to call me, please do at ************. Thanks, Gary W3DTN
