Sounds like you have a fule pump fault,,,the battery fault is strange??
unless the pump has a short on it, draining the battery,,,
the alternator will very soon pack up if you keep running it without the battery hooked up

What is the engine capacity horse power for a 351 ford cleaverland .

351 "C" 4V 1970-1973 Cleveland
http://www.carmemories.com/ford-engine-specifications/351-engine-specs/351c.html
would have thought engine capacity would be what they wanted
351 cubic inches which converts to 5.75186 litre capacity
horse power in the link above is 300 BHP (brake horse power)

I have no idea myself but found the car memories web site that states the engine specifications and I hope it is correct and matches your engine ?
most likely it would be rounded up to a 5.8 litre capacity

76 ford 351 engine starts and shuts down what is the problem good fuel and spark

Hey Thomas, did you go over the distributor and the pick up in cap, it all sounds like ignition check to make sure when it stalls that you have power to coil ,you can do this before you start an leave it on and see at the moment it stalls if you loose power to coil, also check the starter relay on fire wall .

I have an 84 ford f150 4wd 351 foru barrel carb im getting 5.5 mpg on a good day i do not run it at high speeds mainly in the mountains and around town at times no gas leaks i can find any suggestions

Unfortunately, old ford trucks **** gas. However, you can check your emissions controls. A stuck valve or switch can drastically change your efficiency. Make sure you have a clean air filter, check your timing, and carburetor settings.
