Go to the nextar web site and look up your player. On the right you will see the "video2smv" converter file to download.
Video files must be converted to SMV in order to play.

It is easy--check the manual for instructions.

I downloaded music and now my mp3 player wont turn on what could i do to fix it?

Your problem is not related with the music you downloaded. Usually a way to solve this kind of failure is to leave on player utill the battery is completely discharged, then connect it and hope the best. If still won't turn on, probably you have a problem with the firmware of your player because you removed it incorrectly. from the USB port. Most time nothing happens but sometimes this might damage your player. If it's on warranty, take it back to seller's authorized store, but if failure is for incorrect manipultion of the player, warrant won't cover it.

Cant play mp3 songs copied from cd to cpu.

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player will create a MP3 music file for each music track. Click on this link for instruction on converting music files to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files

Problems with downloading

Only use songs that are in mp3 format - some of the songs were DRM-encrypted WMA's with fixed-term licenses.

My mp3 player wont play my videos

Som music videos will never play on that Philips b/c of the copyright system. For all other videos, you can convert them to AVI format using Riva FLV Encoder, and THEN run them through the Philips Media Converter.

Cant play songs off my playlist

AAAaaaahhhhhh...

You can thank Microsoft for creating Digital Rights Management.

Okay...I'm assuming this is an MP3 that you loaded using the Rhapsody-to-go or other music service that allows for subscription music.

What the MP3 player is telling you is that because you have subscription music and not purchased music, the DRM allows you to only play the song or songs 30-90 days after download. To continue to listen to the songs, you will need to open your Media Manager software (Best Buy Digital Music Service, Rhapsody, WMP11, Media Monkey, etc) connect your MP3 player to the PC, identify the MP3 player through the media manager and tell it to re-authorize your tracks. Once its finished you'll be able to play your songs for another 30-90 days. You will need to repeat this re-authorizing to continue to play the tracks.

Will eventually lose songs downloaded?

Okay, here's what i've encountered:  songs that I downloaded on rhapsody, without purchasing, only lasted about 7-10 days unless i reconnected.  once my trial period ended, i lost all the songs.  songs that i've purchased i've had no trouble (although if you load them to the sansa immediately after download, you may get the same message.  its best to wait at least 24 hours).  good luck
