Yes, washing the cells is basically the only thing you are suppose to do to keep up with maintenance.

well, the check light indicates service, adjustment needed, or cell washing is long overdue. Since you just washed the cells, possibly they did not get put back in right or something is probably wrong with them, try running without them in and see if the light goes off, if it does, then they are definitely the problem

The pilot will not stay lit on my GWN20T. Have tried cleaning with compressed air. Would this be the thermocouple? If so can I replace with a universal unit? Lowes has a Honeywell 24' for a 30millivolt....

if the pilot stays lit while you hold down the nob and goes out when you let up on it then you need to replace the thermocoulpe and yes thye honeywell will work.

My honeywell gas suspended garage heater will not come on when the t'stat calls for heat. It is a heat only unit and neither the fan nor the blower motor will come on. The Heater is getting power to it...

The pilot light has to be lit before gas valve will operate. That's a safety feature so the valve won't open and fill the garage with gas and possibly cause an explosion or fire. If you have a standing pilot and can't get pilot to stay lit, it's usually the thermocouple and it will need to be replaced. Once the pilot is lit, the gas valve comes on and heats the combustion chamber up to approx. 100° to 125° a thermostat controlled fan switch will close and bring the blower on.

F50 air cleaner cells inoperative

Check for any of the metal layers in the cell to be touching or too close together. These units are very expensive to repair and to be honest the best option is to find a disposable box filter that will fill the hole.

Pilot lite will not stay lite

You need to change the thermocouple on the unit.

First check to see if the flame is hitting the thermocouple when the flame is on when you hold down the button. If it is then remove the the thermocouple and replace with the same size. You should be able to pick one up at your local hardware store.

If when you replace the thermocouple the flame does not stay lit still you may have a bad gas valve.
