If you have a "dial type" timer, chances are there are no internal fuses, i would start twith the obvious, make sure the breakers are not tripped and after that i would check for 110v at he connection behind the lower acess panel of the unit itself( sometimes a loose connection will burn off a wire nut and leave you disconnected).. if those both check ok sounds as if you might have a bad door latch/switch, not recognizing hte door being closed so not operatin,a few screws around perimter of the door will drop the consloe givin gou acess to check the switches

Hello i m looking for a washing machine for our family we have never used washing machine. we have 7 members in our family which is the right machine for us?

Stay away from a Calyspo, Neptune, Elite. These are problem machines. I would also stay away from any of them that have a digital readout. Water and that type of electronics do not mix. I have a whirlpool top loader that has a dial. It's over 13 years old. I have replaced a pump twice and repaired the lid switch. Simple fix and the cost was small. Most people have trouble with washers due to overloading them. I never overload mine inso it has given me good service. They still make these machines under different names like maytag, roper and kenmore which are owned by whirlpool. Front loaders leak and give problems in a couple of years.

My top loading whirlpool washer stopped after filling. Cycle dial does not engage any agitating, spinning, rinsing, nor draining activity. The dial does not advance with time, neither. Checked the outlet...

You could have a bad lid switch or a bad water level switch or a bad timer. In that order.
Open the control panel to access the components listed.
Make a small wire jumper and jump out the lid switch. Turn the timer on and see if it works. If yes, replace the lid switch.
If no, check power from the water level switch to the timer.
Terminals V to T should read closed on a meter set for ohms.
If the water level switch is closed the timer is bad.

My Washer will work at all. It acts dead

a small run of these actually had an out of balance switch and fuse assembly that cut power to the machine if it went way out of balance ,check and see if yours has one and replace the fuse at first but you may have to replace the entire assembly
