I have a Lexmark 7100 all in one printer. when i start to print form my computer it tells me that my cartileges are in the wrong slot. But they are not. Help

Uinstall and reinstall the driver. That should do the trick.

After fixing it, install RadarSync and you'll never have that same issue to happen in the future. .

If job prints from the wrong tray or on the wrong paper or specialty media, this is an indication that the operator panel menu settings do not match the media loaded in the tray.

Make sure the Paper Size and Paper Type specified in the printer driver match the paper size and type in the tray.

I am having the same problem with my Lexmark 2500, I have found that i had to uninstall the printer and reinstall it again. But before yu reinstall, make sure you have the latest update for your printer. Then reinstall your printer, that should do the trick.

Sorry to be franck with you, but methinks you are tackling the problem the wrong way. The important hardware IS the computer. When you buy the one that meets your needs, you plug your minor hardware (the printer) to see if that works. I am quite sure it will work, even if you have to raid the Internet for drivers. You can come back here and somebody will help you find appropriate drivers.
If you can't find drivers you might consider donating the printer to a charity. Besides, many computer stores try to entice you to buy from them by bundling printers.

Go into your printer software before printing, tell the software what you are printing on letter, 4x6 labels etc.... then print

Maybe you didn't configure the port.

To do this you must go to properties of the printer then try to locate the port output. LPT1, LPT2... the default value is LPT1.

As far as I see. It is true. No driver, No use of printer.

Looks like your Lexmark is a GDI (AKA Windows-Only) printer, as no "emulation" or "control codes support" is listed at http://www.lexmark.com/US/x7170/specs-tech.html

You may want to have a look at Printfil to enable your DOS program printing to Windows printers, including GDI and virtual printers.
