I set my valve were it feels comfortable when i stand up in there tub or shower.Most people shower any way.. the one sitting in the tub can still reach it I usually set shower valves at 42 to 44 inches and the shower arm at 74-78. You want it I usually rough the tub and shower valve spout at 4" above the tub rim, shower valve 10" above the spout. This is for tub and shower combo.

That is pretty much up to you.The standard height accoroding to some specs is eighty inches from floor to shower head but I don't see any reason why you can't put it whereever you want.Thank you.

Hello, I am putting in a grohe 35016 rough in valve. My shower has cold/hot 1/2" pex line coming in and i need to have one line going up into the ceiling for a rain shower head and another line going...
Hook the cold line up to right side and hot to left. Run line to wall shower off the top and use two 90 degree elbows with a short length of pipe turned slightly to the side of the line to wall shower. Run pipe up to ceiling height then 90 over and down to location you want forrain shower head. Hope I made this clear as I know sometimes I don't explain things well. Thank you.

Sounds like the delta people forgot to install the diverter piece inside of valve body,small white plastic piece screwed into valve. If you take out valve you should see it up inside body
