Yes, ...Front load machines have problems with to much soap they can go into suds lock when it comes time to drain water .they are designed to pump water ,not air bubbles... top load washers are not as prone to this concern

Detergent dispenser is clogged or blocked off, check if there is something blocking the opening or the drawer, try removing the drawer and cleaning the drawer and trays and check the opening for any detergent that may be hardened and blocking it off, especially if you are using powdered detergent. Hope this helps!

Water is coming out of the detergent dispenser

This is probably due to excess detergent blocking the feed into the machine, try removing the tray and washing it in the sink. If this works I would rinse it out every month or so, this could be done in the machine by not putting detergent in the dispenser and putting the machine on a short wash cycle. Hope this helps.

Water comes out from detergent cartridge

This may be cause by the out-spout of the detergent cartridge being (partially or fully) blocked / plugged up (from dried up / jelled detergent). So, first check and make sure it is clean and opened.

Why would the machine leak out the detergent drawer when filling?

When the machine starts to wash water passes into the detergent dispenser and carries the detergent into the drum, if the detergent outlet is blocked, or resticted, this will cause the water to leak out of the dispenser.

Check the dispenser to see if an accumulated crust of powder is clogging the outlet holes, most dispensers are removable for cleaning, check your machine instructions for details.

I have a LG WM2016CW washing machine and recently I found the detergent leaks from the main wash detergent compartment. I notices the liquid drops below the compartment on the front surface. Please advise...

If no holes are in the detergent dispenser which shouldn't be hard to see if any exist then I would assume that you may be adding too much detergent. Also remove the detergent compartment and make sure there is no build up anywhere that may be blocking the flow of the detergent.

Creda Washing Machine Detergent Dispenser not emptying

does the detergent get wet?
may be the blue trap door that is behind the detergent in the drawer is set for liquid detergent ie 'closed' and needs to be set to open to allow the powder past. or the holes above the detergent section where the waster comes out are blocked so water goes in another route.
you could always put the powder straight in with the wash to get yourself out of trouble.

Fabric softner does not disperse, a smell comes into sink.

Remove the drawer and thoroughly clean out the drawer. They usually have a syphon mechanism which gets blocked. On many, you will find a section of the softener compartment can be removed. Make sure there are no traces of old softener. The eggy smell is due to the enzymes in the detergent not being properly flushed from the machine. Check the waste water pipe is clear of debris and clean out any filters (not all machines have these) - normally under a cover at the front of the machine near the floor. While you have the detergent drawer out, it would be worth cleaning the area as it often gets clogged and covered in detergent or softener, and can block the water feed holes.

After all this cleaning, run the machine on a hot was with no detergents/softeners or laundry in it, to flush it out.

SIEMENS XLM 1600 (WXLM166AGB) MACHINE WILL NOT TAKE IN SOFTENER FROM DETERGENT TRAY

If water is being dispensed from both sides of the detergent tray, dismantle washing machine and remove top plate of the detergent tray and clean thoroughly. Water overflows from both sides during the rinse cycle to add softener to the rinse. On our washing machine it was blocked. During the service it was changed but can be washed out to solve problem.
