Question about Garden
Loosen the motor mounting fasteners and slide the motor toward the compressor. That should relax the old belt enough to remove and install the new one. Slide the motor back so that the belt tightens and the belt travels evenly over the pulleys. Try to get the motor pulley in the same plane as the compressor pulley and have about 1/2" of up/down play in the middle of the run of belt. Misalignment of the pulleys will accelerate the belt wear as will improper tension. Good luck!
