Yes if you use the rf2 out on the box, cable it to the aerial input of the tv in the other room using uhf coax cable (aerial cable), and tune the tv in analogue mode (not freeview but the old analogue) to the sky box. It's usually on CH68 but if you do an autotune it should find it. Of course you will only be watching in SD not HD on the second set.
Hello Connec the external areal to its ariel socket at its back side, and get into its meny option, select 'autotune', and press vol (+) button on the remote control. If the set ahs a 'Menu" button on its front panel, you can do this by pressing the Menu button, surf thorugh, select autotune and press Vol(+) button once.
Sony KDL-32EX503 32 Inch Full HD Freeview HD Bravia LCD TV Well it's got Freeview, just plug an aerial in and let it autotune from the menu. It is not clear how to get into the menu so I should have a look at the manual that came supplied with it and look under "Quick Start". Hope that helps.
Hello
Enter menu, and select the [autotune or auto search] function with the help of Prog+ Prog- and Vol+ and Vol- buttons. After that function highlighted press Vol+ button once and release. The TV will tune and store automatically in its memory, all the transmitting stations at that time, and after tuned the entire band it will finish tuning and will display the first channel. You must select auto tune for this. Not manual tune or fine tune functions. A horizontal bar will run across the bottom side of the screen indicating that the tuning process is in progress, and it will reset three times to zero and will continue tuning. It is due to the auto band selection is done inside the microcomputer of the tv. No other functions will response anymore, till autotune process is completed. Ok.
I think the point he is making is that he only has a universal remote - not the original, so the problem isn't not being able to find the channels, but not being able to select the retune option in the first place. I have same problem - the remotes that shipped with this TV were rubbish (I have gone through 2!) and some buttons stop working. The retune / setup memu is seperate to the other basic set-up stuff and many universal remotes don't have theis 'other' button. Best solution, get a replacement remote that is MADE to work with this TV then you can auto-tune to your hearts content.
I have a Maxim 15" Portable LCD TV with built in DVB-T Tuner.
It has worked well for 2 years.
Now when you switch it on set to DTV
Starts to reload the channels
Once it has found 90 channels it moves to Add and will not add any.
There are no stored channels from the built in freeview.
However we still have the normal 4 on ATV.
Any advice.
