Hobart 250ci overheating, works fine for awhile then overheat light comes on ,shut off turn on same thing maybe longer maybe shorter

See what your duty cycle is suppose to be for that welder. It may have a internal fan that has stopped working to pull the heat out. Some have some don’t. If not add one and it may give you a little more time to weld

Washer starts on spin cycle but the code L2 flashes on board and it will not spin let it sit for awhile and it will work then it wont work is driving me crazy

I had the same problem with my MAH5500BWW. Did some research and learned the problem is with the motor control board located on the bottom of the washer under the drum. This is easily accessed by removing the front panel. I have heard there is a ten year warranty on parts for this washer. Not knowing this I always have bought these parts. Anyway getting back to your problem. I did notice on my motor control board (which is the newer model with all of the surface mounted resistors and devices) that the a device in the front left corner behind the connector was burned (you could smell and see where it had failed). I am pretty handy and understand quite a bit about electronics so I made the assumption the burned out device was being used as a fuse. I removed the very tiny device (about 1/8" by 1/16") then I created a short or jumper across the contacts where the device used to be. After reinstalling the board the washer is back up and running. If you have to purchase the board it will run you over $200. May make sense to have a local electronics shop take a look at it. Hope this helps.

Would the heater control valve malfunctioning make the engine overheat blowing hot air out the heater one moment, then not blowing the hot air, temp gage spikes 225 plus. The motor takes awhile to heat up...

Heater control valve malfunction will not cause engine to overheat unless coolant is leaking externally...Overheating going down the road can be the result of a few different things...Partly clogged radiator...Insufficient air flow due to possible fan problem...External coolant leak...Make sure fans are operting properly and have cooling system pressure tested for leaks...Gaining and losing heat on the inside of the vehicle usually means system is low on coolant but you must find out where coolant is going

My MLE2000 washer will start to spin and then

more likely an itntermitent lid switch problem as the washer strats it's spin cycle the motion is causuning the lid switch to open making the washer think some one has opened the lid and it shuts down to be safe check the switch make sure it hasn't come loose and check the actuator on the lid sometimes a plastic piece near the front of the lid that goes into sort of a key hole Good Luck

After 6 loads of clothes dryer will not start for the 7th load.after waiting for approx. 60 mins. dryer starts up and functions as normal

After 6 loads...yeh, well the dryer is obviosly overheating. It takes awhile to cool down, and then will operate as normal again.
When it overheats, the thermostat activates, and stops the dryer from running until it cools down.
But why does it overheat? Have you been cleaning the lint filter after every load, as recommended? If not, this can cause the problem because of restricted airflow. Have you been overloading the dryer? Again, this can cause overheating.
Something to check; when the dryer has normal load, try carefully rotating the drum by hand, in its normal direction of rotation. If it is very stiff to turn, or scraping, then that can cause this problem also. Maybe a bearing problem can cause the stiffness or scraping. I hope its not the problem.
Let me know how it goes please.

My roper wont do anything

Is you washer sitting on a carpeted floor? If so ther is not enough air flow under it for the motor to not overheat. Maybe by now 4-3-09 it's functioning if not post me your model number. If it's on carpet raise it up with 3/4 inch boards under the feet.

1997 GMC Sierra 1500 6.5 diesel runs for awhile then stalls

These have a problem with a injection pump control. It is a black box on the drivers side of the Injection pump. Either that or maybe a lift pump. When it dies, after it sits a while does it start right back up?

1986 mercury grand marquis LS overheating

Sounds like the thermostat is stuck closed.
If the car is overheating, they will also hurt perfomance.

But after sitting 8 yrs, it's hard to say what else might be wrong.
Was it just sitting, and you threw some gas in it to get it running? Or did you go through the car first to do some maintenance? Like an oil change, flush the gast tank and carb and put in all fresh. Change the fuel filter? and the list goes on. A car sitting that long can develope some problems just from sitting. If you could list what you have and haven't done to the car before this would help.
