Well , yes , it could be fixable , but first the adapter is a three prong to two prong adapter ? if so , for your safety I recommend to plug A/C UNIT wheres a three hole outlet , using the adapter eliminate the UNIT to be grounded , there for causing problems like cord getting hot. hope this helps

We had the same portable AC unit plugged into a heavy duty three prong extension cord and it melted and fused together.

Need to know how to place extension cords for outdoor ice lights on roof edge of house

Hello, you can use a terminal strip power surge outlets. It will have many outlets on it that then go into one cord that will plug into the outdoor outlet.

The electric cord on our Duracraft heater model CZ-600 was very hot to the touch (closest to the plug) -- it burned so hot we could not touch it for more than a second. The heat was at maximum and we...

Look carefully at the plug's connectors to see if thewre is any scorching or otherwise burnt metal...electrical connectors tend to get hot due to the plug being loose(this causes more resistance and thus more heating). As a safe bet...the parts aren't expensive...I would replace both the power cord on the heater AND the outlet recepticle

The remote module that plug into wall outlet has melted and cord plugged toside will not pull out

1. Put the power off that supply the wall outlet.
2. Cut the cord, and install or put a new rubberized plug
into it, with a rating of at least 20 to 30 amperes.
3. Replace the wall outlet with a rating of 30 amperes.
Then, you can run your heater without any trouble.

Need to find out how many amps fuse DeLonghi CF210 needs

Yes. This machine will work on a 120v 13 amp socket.

13 is an odd number. U.S. household 120volt circuits are either 15 or 20 amps. I assume you are going to plug this into a 15 amp circuit, or you are not in the U.S. -- is that correct?

The circuit should have nothing else running on it of any significance -- lights should be okay -- vacuums, toasters, etc. would pull too much current and trip the breaker if these are operated simultaneously with the A/C.

Plug gets red hot on A.C. after 1/2 hour running.

Local hardware store would have replacement plugs and yes that would help the situation out. But the problem may lie inside the actual outlet also. So you may want to investigate the problem alittle more unless you have already done so
