Question about LG WM2077CW XL Front Load Stackable Washer with 7 Washing Programs
I might have overloaded the washer and it stopped in the middle with a LE error. I did a reset. I did a QC, it will not tuble colckwise or spin, it does everything else. It spin counterclockwise but seems to groan on the QC test. Is the sensor assembly the answer? Can an experienced dyi change it?
It sounds like the motor sensor has failed and needs to be replaced. Yes a DYI can do it. The sensor is in the back.
Remove the back cover.
Use a 17mm socket to remove the center bolt holding the rotor. Remove the rotor by pulling it straight out. It will be hard but keep pulling.
Now use a 10mm socket to remove the 6 bolts holding the stator assembly. Carefully remove the stator and turn it around to locate two connectors. The 5 wire connector is the motor sensor. Replace it and reinstall and it should work fine.
