Question about Brother DCP-350C InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Everything goes well until the process gets to "Connect The Machine". I connect the USB to both, I switch the machine on and wait & wait & wait indefinitely and nothing happens.

Starting my computer the monitor goes black then the message 'D-Sub Power Saving Mode' appears and then screen goes black again

sounds like the video port is not working and you should switch to a dedicated video card. or the card is dead and you should switch to onboard video until you can replace the card. if this is a laptop then the video is not set to connect to an external monitor. or if it is then the port has gone bad and you will have to find another way to connect the monitor. if you have usb 3 on your machine you can get a usb 3 to dvi/vga adapter for the video.

Brother MFC-210C INSTALLATION

I had this and got arround it. Here is what I did. I shrunk down the installation window so I could do other things. I went into the control panel, system, hardware, device Manager. Their was a spot marked Other Devices, with USB devices listed, but the computer didn't know what they were. I uninstalled them! and then I did a scan for new hardware. The computer found the printer and continued on with the install.
