Well if iam not mistaken, i dont think shockers like co2, but if you removed the internal part to lube it, you may have not put it back together right, does it just make a click like sound?

My Tac-5 Recon marker does not shoot the paintballs. I cock the marker and after I pull the trigger I can feel and hear the spring action but no paintballs are launched. When I attached the CO2 tank I did...

take the hammer and bolt out, clean them and oil them with paintball oil (no motor oil or WD-40)
air tool oil also works, but besides paintball and air tool oil, never use anything else.

the bolt is in the front of the marker, it is what pushes the paintball from the breach into the barrel. the hammer will be towards the back. its been years since i have touched a tac-5

easiest way to oil is just to put a few drops in the asa (where you attach the tank) and dry fire with the barrel off a dozen times. this will get the oil everywhere it needs to be.

if you can take it apart and clean it i would still recommend that

In Paintballing what is the difference between nitrogen (N2) and CO2 tanks?

CO2 tanks are composed of liquid carbon dioxide and are used for many scenario and recreation players. When the trigger is pulled, the liquid CO2 is converted to a gas, and this expansion of gas propels the paintball forward at 800-850 psi. CO2 tanks do not work as well in colder weather or for fully automatic paintball guns

This a genesis lethal threat paintball gun I just got it and I am new to paintball what size paintball do I get for my gun please get back to me as soon as possible thank you

First off do you have a hopper and an air tank or co2 tank with air or co2 in it. If no get those things and fill your tank at a local paintball field. If yes your gun takes a .68 caliber paintball. That's really any paintball that you can buy at Walmart or sports authority.

New Project Salvo. Second day tried to use it fires like it is on full auto for a second or two. Wont shoot as semi auto . It drains the CO2 quickly and sometimes the trigger gets stuck on full auto. ...

It's vary common for places to not fill Co2 tanks correctly and it sounds like this is your problem. Try having your tank filled in a different store, If this doesn't work you should exchange the gun at the store you bought it or call Tippmann, they have a excellent 2 year warranty.

Inconsistent velocity, and my velocity adjuster doesn't seem to be working

This is caused when a gun needs cleaning and-or O-rings are worn.
Tear down the gun and clean the lube with the special paintball gun oils
and reassemble. See if it is better. CO2 is terrible for paintball guns.
Go with HPA (High Pressure Air, aka Nitrogen) and this will help.

When i put my paintballs in the gun and i aim down they fall out the top where they shoot from

Sound like your ball detent is gone or broken.

The detent is a tiny piece of rubber that keeps the paintballs in the chamber and from rolling out the barrel. It's a cheap part, but you will need basic knowledge of disassembling a Tippmann 98 to replace it.

You can find ball detents here!

Check the O rings on the big metal striker, make sure that you have the spring on the back (where the stock would have went) in the right hole on the back plate. Make sure that your velocity is set to a reasonable level.

My tippmann 98 custom pro is shooting automatic by itself... i just installed my etrigger but when i hook the co2 up to it, it shoots automatic

The reason for this malfunction can be caused for two things, one is that the trigger is not sitting right or one of the springs is not in place another reason that may cause the problem is over lubing the hammer, but must likely is the trigger not holding the hammer in the rear position until you pull the trigger. Hope this helps.
