System Configuration of Fujitsu Amilo D-7820 PC Notebook:
Fixed RAM: 0MB
Standard RAM: 128MB
Maximum RAM: 2GB
Chipset: Intel 855 GM
Please check whether you have a systems disk or cd with an operating system e.g. MS XP Home edition.
If you have the original operating system disk or cd, reformat your hard drive i.e. assuming that you have windows XP click the Start button, then select Run, then type "cmd" then Enter, an MS DOS screen will appear.
Type "format c:" and enter and it will then ask whether you really want to delete all files on the hard drive and then type "Y". The computer will then wipe everything on your computer. You can then insert your Operating Disk or CD and follow the instructions that appear on the screen to reinstall the original default settings or the Operating System. Hoping that this will help you solve your problem.

depending on the age and model, most acers come with a self-branded "recovery CD" creation program. I'm not sure why you need to do the restore, but assuming the computer will still boot, you need to find that program and have a couple cd's or dvd's handy and step through the prompts to create the cd's. Once you do, you need to restart the computer and boot it up with that CD you just created and step through the process. Make sure all your stuff is backed up first.

When you first enter the printer menus from the operator panel, you may notice an asterisk (*)
next to a value in the menus. This asterisk indicates the factory default setting. These settings
are the original printer settings. (Factory defaults may vary for different countries.)
When you select a new setting from the operator panel, the Saved message appears. When
the Saved message disappears, an asterisk appears next to the setting to identify it as the
current user default setting. These settings are active until new ones are stored or the factory
defaults are restored.
To restore the original printer factory default settings:
1 Make sure the printer is on and the Ready message appears.
2 Press Menu until you see Utilities Menu, and then press Select.
3 Press Menu until you see Factory Defaults, and then press Select.
4 Restore appears on the second line of the display.
5 Press Select.
The message Restoring Factory Defaults appears followed by the Ready
When you select Restore:
• No other button actions are available on the operator panel while Restoring
Factory Defaults appears.....
