Question about Heating & Cooling
Fault code 12 means the flame lit ok but hen for some reason went out. In my experience this usually means a fault on the gas supply itself. If you are on lpg I have had many problems with gas regulators recently. If you have something else on gas like a cooktop, fire that up first, then try the log fire. If this seems to fix the fault get a gas fitter to change the regulator.
Make sure all taps and isolattion valves are fully on.
I'm have assumed this is not a new installation so the unit has worked ok before.
Does the flame stay strong after it lights. If it slowly fades then definately a gas supply problem.
If it stays strong but just shuts of with a click, then possibly a fault on the heater, check the rod the flame heats is well in the flame. Could be the electronic otherwise but very rare.
If the flame goes yellow like a candle and then shuts off you will need to check the flue or chimmney as this might be blocked..
Cheers, let me know if anything works and re-post with any more info if you are still stuck, I will keep a look out for you.
