Question about Garmin GPS
If you have problems pairing your Garmin device, try the following:
When you get the pairing message on the computer you quickly want to select Yes on both the computer and on the watch (Start/Stop button when the box comes up)
Also I recommend at least 3 feet of distance between the Ant Stick and the watch. The allows for a good transmission between the two.
also try replacing the batteries...... because most of this problems are caused due to this.

Right click on Garmin ANT (agent) program icon.
Check box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
Select "Windows Vista" in drop down menu
Select "Apply" at bottom of window.
Your Garmin Forerunner 405 should now Pair with the computer as per Garmin's instructions.
