How do I turn off the silent mode on a Uniden 6.0 dect phone, so it will ring?

For the Uniden model D1680 & similar...

You ENTER "Silent Mode" by pressing and
holding the [ # ] key on the handset for a few
seconds until the display reads "Please Wait".
It will (chirp) and display "Silent Mode ON".

You can EXIT "Silent Mode" by pressing and
holding the [ # ] key on the handset for a few
seconds until the display reads "Please Wait".
It will (chirp) and display "Handset #".

Another easy way to end "Silent Mode" is to go
to the BASE and press the [ANS ON/OFF]
button to turn off the answering machine system.
(Push the [ans] button, do not unplug the power)

"Silent Mode" will clear a moment later while the
control voice tells you "Answering System is OFF"
Now you can again turn on the answering machine
system as desired.

Good luck!

PLEASE WAIT

I contacted Panasonic about the "PLEASE WAIT" on display and after a few attempts to fix I was told that it would cost $130 minimum to repair. Then I found I had the same problem that hpwhite & RandyChev described "PLEASE WAIT" on display. I followed their very precise and informative directions and found that I also had two bad (bulging) caps, C1270 & C1271 Thanks to the pictures he posted, I was able to find replacement 1000uf 35v Radio Shack #272-1032 capacitors and replaced them with no problems. I then was able to power it back up and all of my information was still on my hard drive, even the correct time in the display. If you can find RandyChev's description with the pictures, it is very easy to understand

E4 error after attempting to fill and get to temp

This is what I found for the E4 code...hope this helps...and thanks for rating my effort...The Fang.

Machine won't fill or won't fill high enough(LX18, LX30 display shows "E0," "E2," "E3," or "E4")

1.Low water pressure — check for clogged hose strainer; check that site water pressure meets minimum flow pressures.
2.Make sure probes are clean.
3.No water pressure — main water supply valves may not be working.
4.Drain valve open - turn machine off to drain machine, then on. Repeat twice (this assists in clearing any drain valve obstructions). Wait for machine to reach READY mode and press WASH. Slowly open door several seconds later and note water level. Close door; 30 seconds later, open door slowly and check that water level is the same as it was. If not, repeat the
OFF-ON procedure.
5. Delime machine.

Uniden DSS7855+1, flashing ''welcome! please wait...'', wont work

This is not a direct solution to your problem, but a workaround for a similar situation. I have two headsets and two charging stations. One of the headsets was stuck with the message ''Welcome! please wait''. When I put the phone on the charging station it usually sits on nothing would happen, but when I put it on the other station the phone came back to life. The non-working charging station will still charge the phone so it is worth keeping.
