The tv is 42" Panasonic Plasma Model No. TH-42PX60U. I have the back off already, I see two fuses by each other, can not tell if blown because their not clear ones.

Fuses were no good but I could not find the right fuses. I needed 8 amp but only could find 6.3 amp. The tv won't come on but now the power button flashes, is that because of the wrong amp fuse.

Is the power indicator lit?if not then its the power supply that is not working..you can acces the power supply board by opening the back cover of your tv.the power supply board is where the power cord is connected check the fuse whether it is open.if it is open do not replace the fuse right away replace inspect the parts in the power supply if there are parts that are blown or melting..replace them with the same value.afterwards test the power supply plug it to the power source if the fuse blown again then time to replace the transistor regulator.this regulator is a component with 3 pins and install with heat sink..be very carefull when replacing this part be sure it is unplug...to the wall.you can also replace the whole power supply they are available at this link.Just post a message if you have other question.Im very glad to help you.

Yes, fuse would be located on power supply board. Unplug tv from wall socket, take off back cover of tv and check nearby area where AC cord plugged in power supply board, check fuse and replace it if found blown.
If fuse blow again that means power supply board got defective and will be replaced.
Let me know if you have additional question with model number of your tv.
Thanks.

OK, take out both fuses one by one and test them with multimeter as good fuse will show continuity and blown fuse wont show any thing on meter.

Why won't my Panasonic 42 TCP42S30 42 Plasma TV turn on.

Switch off TV, switch off power, remove plug and wait for 48 hours and retry.
If problem persists, I suggest it is better to refer it to a qualified service
technician, since the back cover has to be opened for investigation/rectification.

Hi replace the fuse in the wire connecting the mains plug. It's generally located within the 3 pin plug.
If you are lucky it maybe just a fuse blown out.
Thanks

I have a 1 1/2 year old Panasonic TC-P42U1 plasma tv. While watching a show, it suddenly shut off and won't come back on. What do you think caused this and how can i fix it? Thanks.

Try unplugging it completely for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Plug it back in. If it still won't come on, it's likely taken a power surge and popped a fuse or power supply, which means a trip to the service center.
