All you need is a wireless router. The Wii comes ready w/ WiFi. We installed a Linksys WRT54G2 router and hard wired to one sons xbox and Wii connects via WiFi. The router was about $45.00 @ Best Buy.

Hook netflix to tv

Netflix should already be available on the Wii, you just need an internet connection or wifi to the wii, and an active netflix account, then follow the instructions and use your computer to go to netflix to update your home viewing equipment (ie activating your wii on the account).

Nintendo Wii Error Code 52030

The most likely cause of error 52030 is that the router securityinformation was entered incorrectly on your Wii or that your router is unableto assign an IP address to the Wii.

If this problem just started, and your Wii was working before, then tryto power cycle your equipment. Turn off the modem, router and Wii. After10 seconds turn on the Modem, after 30 seconds turn on your router, and after30 seconds turn on the Wii.

If this does not work then continue below,

Make sure your wireless networksecurity password and security typeis entered into your Nintendo Wii correctly. You can go into your routersconfiguration page to view the security key and view security type. If needed, you can change these. On most routers, you can access the configuration page byopening your Internet Browser and going to the router ip address(gatewayaddress) 192.168.1.1 This address may vary from router to router. Once you goto this address you should get a login page. Login and then go to your Wirelesssettings page to view the settings you need for your Wii. Once you verify thesecurity key and type, input these settings into your Wii and test theconnection. A black DOS window should open. In this window type"ipconfig /all" you should now see a gateway address.

-Most home networks will use DCHP. What is DCHP? This is Dynamic HostConfiguration Protocol. In short, it means your router or server will assign IP and DNSaddresses out automatically, with no intervention needed from you. If you aremanually using settings(not using DCHP) you will need to assign an IP/DNSaddress to your Wii.

To get to the Wii settings to input an IP address and DNS address, dothe following,

Access the Wii System settings and select "Internet" from Page 2.
Select "Connection Settings" and choose the connection file youcurrently use (will have a red border around it).
Select "Change Settings," and click the right blue arrow twice toreach "Auto-Obtain IP Address."
Click on "No" and select "Advanced Settings."

Enter in your IP address, DNS address and subnet mask information.

A Wii connection test should confirm the internet is now working. Again, mosthome networks use DCHP so you may not need to set an IP address.

-Interference can also cause this issue. Try and make sure there are nowireless devices around the Wii and router and the Wii is in an open areawithout devices blocking it.
-Change your router's channel setting to 1 or 11. By default, mostrouters broadcast on channel 6, which overlaps with other channels and may beweaker.

If you are still having trouble, you may want to reach out to NintendoTechnical Support at 1-800-255-3700

-G33k

Check out some of my other tech articles!
Nintendo Wii Error Code 51031
Tuneup utilities prefetch data deleted
Computer freezes, computer stuck
How to disable/enable Microsoft Windows startup programs
Garmin GPS - stuck , not updating, no signal problems

Keywords
Nintendo Wii Error Code 52030, Wii error code 52030, Wii 52030, Nintendo Wiiinternet issues, Wii internet, Nintendo Wii internet

I dont now how to get wired enternet on the wii

To get wired ethernet, you will have to purchase an adapter like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Wii-USB-Enabled-Lan-Adapter/dp/B000WY8GW8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1308609490&sr=8-1
The Wii itself does not have wired internet.

MY WII WONT CONNECT WITH THE INTERNET

Is WiiConnect24 enabled? Can you find your router on your Wii and connect to it? Have you entered the correct WEP key when trying to connect to your router?
If none of these solve your problem, follow this guide: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/getOnline/index.jsp

The internet is not working

Run the "Internet connection test" on your Wii and follow the instructions it gives for enabling internet.

Also, check that the ethernet cable is properly connected to your Wii and router, and make sure you are using DHCP on the Wii and on your router's setting page.
