Samsung TV no sound no picture backlight on and off

Check voltage at the power board. After 120 volts enter the TV, there is fuse then a small high voltage transformer, then a 100 uf rated at 450 volts capacitor. There should be 390 volts DC at the capacitor. Without this 390 volts the TV will shut down.

Keeps shutting down and takes several trys to start again only to shut down later

If the computer is overheating it will shut down to save the hardware from heat damage, the temp is pre set. It may get hot, due to air flow in a minute or and hour. What does the "screen comes up says problem " say? Check the fan and vents for dust and clean, improve air flow around bottom vents and side vents. Perhaps a Laptop Cooler? When the computer shuts down unepectedly, the computer see it as a crash and will load in that option screen. Run a 'Check Disk" on the OS drive buy opening computer in start menu, right click the drive with the OS (C), open properties, Tools, Check now, choose all options, follow instructions, reboot.

My Toshiba Satellite L305-S5875 always crashes on a cold boot.

Part of the problem is the hybernate function it causes windows to become unstable and eventually will corrupt the windows files making vista unusuable. I strongly suggest the hybernate mode be disabled and you make a backup recovery disc just in case windows crashes. By following what I have recommended and shut down windows when not in use will make a big difference in stability.

I have a Emerson LD190EM1 Tv DVD combo. It will not work with my Dish Network remote. What is the IR code?

I also have the same tv with no luck on my dish network with the codes. However, I just did an autoscan and found the code, but it doesn't tell you what code. I am sorry I cannot give you the code, since manually entering them did not work, but the auto scan did work!

To run auto scan follow these steps.... it took me about 5 minutes to find on my dish network remote.
1. Press and hold the tv mode button until all other mode lights flash.
2. Press the red power button (not the red tv power button, but the power button which normally shuts off your receiver only)
3. Press the up button (about every other second) When your remote finds the code, your tv will automatically shut off.... once it shuts off, DO NOT press the up button again.
4. While the tv is off, press the pound (#) button.
Your remote will be programmed to your tv. Turn on your tv with the small red power button with the tv wording and test other functions (volume, etc.)

I tried this last night, waiting about 3 seconds in betwwen with no luck after 30 minutes, just a tired finger from constantly pressing the up button. But tonight I tried it on my LD190EM1 and paused for a second inbetween pressing up and almost fainted when the tv actually shut off within 5 minutes of starting! Best of Luck!!!

Canon IP3000 error code

read entire solution first, see the 6 modes section.
First thing you need to do is print an EEPROM information page, step number 2 below.
Once you have an EEPROM print you can reset the waste ink counter, if needed, which is step number 4 below.
Service Mode: This printer has a service mode for service-related settings and for performing test prints. The operator panel buttons are used to enter the desired service mode.
Service Mode Operations
With the printer powered off, hold down the "Resume Button" and press the "Power Button".

While holding down the "Power Button", release the Resume Button" and press the "Resume Button" twice in succession. Now release the "Power Button".

The indicator will blink in green and remain lit in green.

Select one of the following service mode functions by pressing the “Resume Button” the specified number of times.

1 time = Service test print.
2 times = EEPROM information print.
3 times = EEPROM initialization
4 times = Waste ink counter resetting
5 times = Destination settings
6 times = Print head deep cleaning

Then press the “Power Button” one time to perform selected function.

If you press the "Power Button" two times it will take you out of service mode.

This information is listed above in this thread and many times in other Canon threads in this forum. I simplified Canons wording so I could remember the service mode functions easier.
