Question about Garmin Forerunner 205 GPS Receiver

1 Answer

I have had my 205 for about 7 weeks. I have used about 25 times in the same park in my neighborhood. The track is an "out and back" loop. The first thing I learned about the track was that it is .97 of a mile. That made all of my previous records invalid. All well. I am 6'6" 260# and I am a walker. I am never going to win any races. Today the first two miles of my walk the track measure a mile. The last two miles were .97. I always do four miles. Now I walk until the garmin says I am done. The track does not have too many trees.There are no gps dead zones on the track. Why did the track suddenly pick up .03 miles two times in a row?

The best thing to do is to reset the gps.
Its possible its giving you the wrong mile.
Try to use another gadget to measure, to see if you still get the same or different mile.

Likely the memory is fragmented into tiny snipets much like hard drives get. For looping, the memory likely has to be contiguous chunks. Clear the memory and load each in sequence.

Can i add more memory to the rc50 loop pedal

You can make a backup on your pc and load back Default settings or restore to default settings. Normally you should have I quote ' with up to 49 minutes of mono recording time (or 24 minutes in stereo), the RC-50 can function as a song recorder as well as a looper'

I have the RC300 which has 3 hrs recording time. But when i reach the limit. I make a backup and load back in a initial default setup which I have downloaded somewhere. But you can also restore to default from the unit itself. Hope this helps

My garmin 205 seems to have lost its fix. Its position is out by about 100m, tracking established roads but to one side or other then loses roads altogether then gets totally lost. Is a map update...

Whenever these devices start acting up, I recommend performing a hard reset of your Gamin Nuvi 205. Also, use Garmin's WebUpdater service to make sure you have the latest software on your device. There have been numerous fixes to the firmware to allow the Garmin 205 or acquire satellite signal faster, and to be more accurate with your location.

I hope that helps.

Does not track properly shows the vehical driving off the road

If it is new and bought recently you should return it to the seller for replacement or attention. You coulod first try to recalibrate the screen. if that does not fid it return it quick before any 30 day rteplacement warranty expires.

Leaks after a couple of weeks use

You may need to put a hartford loop in your plumbing between your chlorinator and the heater. The chloriene will back up in the line bad when the pump is off and corrode the exchanger. A hartford loop is simpley a loop than runs low then high above the top of the heater so it can trap gasses in the line and won't let them get back in the line. If all else fails you can use a floater. Be sure to check your PH also. Good luck.

89 Thunderbird, no tail lights

Having the same issue somewhat. Tail lights and dash lights quit. Checked the headlight switch wiring harness by looping all other prong holes back to the main power and they all work, so mine must be the switch. Having a real hard time finding a switch that matches the old one, even though they say it is a replacement. I paid the $25 at www.alldatadiy.com and they have quite a few wiring diagrams for the car.

Hi,

Following is the code extract (please dont mind if any syntactical errors, its long time back when i've done C++ coding, but following logic is 100% working)

int x,y,z=10;

for (x=1;x<=5;x++)
{
for (y=1;y<=x;y++)
{
z++;
cout<<z<<"\t";
}
cout<<"\n";
}

GENERAL QUESTION

Hi,

I believe what Tascam means by the 'effect loop' on the 2488Mk2 is simply a send loop within the device which internal effects can be set on (vs. a the 'send loop' which exists when you send a track out the sends, through an external effect device, and then back through one the the 2488 inputs). This effect loop is sent to the stereo bus as well as the bounce sub mix.

To use the internal effects in this way you'd select a track with the 'select' button for the track (or you can do multiple tracks by repeating this process for each track one at a time). Then press the send button and on the top of the screen you'll see the effects loop. Just set your send there to 100 or so and that track will be sent to the internal effect loop and be affected by whatever single effects you have turned on. To print these tracks with effects you can either premaster or create a bounce mix. Just make sure you mute any tracks you don't want in a bounce because a bounce will record anything which is on the stereo bus.

(See page 42 in your manual for Tascam's explanation for using the single effect and page 58 for how to create a bounce submix).

Hope this helps.

IBM xseries 205, Model 8480-43X Memory upgrade an POST BEEP

Those beeps mean that your RAM is not functioning. Are you sure you got the right upgrade type. Sometimes it'll fit into socket but won't work because of speed. Or just try reseating the modules.
