Question about Hitachi 43UWX10B 43" Rear Projection Television
The sound is the power relay clicking on and then back off since the set is in shutdown.
I would suggest you look inside on the right side (as seen from the back); there is a large metal heat sink with fins and look for any burnt or discolored resistors on THE LEFT SIDE OF THE SINK.
The most common problem in these sets is convergence and it can cause the set to shut down.
