Must be something stuck in the pump. Remove the emblem and their is a long screw. Take that loose and the top comes forward and lifts up. Then you can get the front panel off. Remove the four support rods, the drain hose and yank the tub out. Flip it and inspect the pump. the water does not drain out. The pipe is not - fd28e6c.jpg38cbfa9.jpg

My washer is leaking water out of the dispenser area . The hose for the water underneath the dispenser seems to be clogged how do i fix this?

Hi, follow the instruction below to clear the clooged hose.....
  • Pull the washer 2 to 3 feet away from the wall so you have enough room to access the drain pipe.
  • Locate the drain discharge hose where it comes out from the back of the washing machine. Typically it will be a 1 1/2-inch hose and leads to the drain in the floor, wall or laundry tub.
  • Detach the discharge hose from the drain. The hose may be secured by a squeeze clamp or screw clamp or it may just be inserted directly with no clamp. Use pliers for the squeeze clamp, screwdriver for a screw clamp or pull the hose straight up, depending on how it is secured.
  • Insert the pipe snake into the open drain until you feel the clog release. Typically this will be very close to the top rather than several feet down.
  • Check the drain hose section that is attached to the washer. If there is another clogged area, you will be able to see it; snag it with the wire and pull it out.
  • Replace the drain discharge hose into the drain and check all connections to ensure there will be no water escaping.
  • Move the washer back into place. It will now drain properly.

Turned off the hot water to fix a leaking tap. now the tap has no hot or cold water and the hot water tank valve is leaking?

It sounds like two problems.
Problem 1) Clog inside faucet or clog inside pipes at faucet
Remove supply tubes leading to faucet and see if problem is inside pipes or inside faucet.
My bet is clog inside faucet.

If you have galvanized pipe that meets copper pipe, this can be trouble spot.

Article on clogged pipes:

Problem 2) Water heater leak ... you say tank valve is leaking? Is that cold-water shut-off valve? Or tank drain valve? Or TP valve?

If cold water shut-off is leaking, then replace shut off.

If tank drain valve is leaking, then check if plastic valve is cracked. If drain valve is cracked, then replace with a brass valve from Home Depot. If plastic valve breaks off, then use hammer and screwdriver to gently chip out the broken plastic valve. New valve threads need teflon tape to seal pipe. If valve is just dripping, then put garden-hose cap over end of valve and screw down tight.

If TP valve is leaking, then replace with same temperature and pressure rating.
New TP valve threads need teflon tape to seal pipe.

Problem 3) If pressure is low all over house:
Buy pressure gauge at hardware store that screws onto hose connection.

Test pressure on outdoor spigot.
Open faucet and check if pressure drops. This says if problem is inside pipes that enter house.

Test pressure on water heater drain valve.
This says if pressure problem is before -or- after water heater.

If problem is before the water heater, then shut-off valve located on cold water line is suspect.
If problem is after water heater, it could be in hot water outflow pipe on top of water heater, or a nearby elbow.

Remove hot water line leading from water heater and check pressure. This says if problem is where hot water leaves tank.
Read articles above about clogs inside water lines.

My front loading GE washer WSSH300 will not drain.

Don't know if this will help or not, but your owners manual is available at http://genet.geappliances.com/DocSearch/Dispatcher
Water won’t drain
Drain hose is kinked or •
Straighten drain hose and make sure washer is not improperly connected sitting on it. Top of drain outlet should be less than 8 ft. (2.5 m)
above floor. Household drain may • Check household plumbing. You may need to call be clogged a plumber. Plumbing this washer directly to a pipe is hard on the motor. Usually the drain hose elbow is inserted in a stand pipe, meaning the washer would drain water on the floor is the stand pipe is clogged.
Several items can cause the lack of draining.
If you can get to the drain hose, try lowering to a point that it will drain into a bucket. If it drains the system is not clogged. If you advance the timer and the washer drains this maybe the culprit. The motor can overheat and shut off. I would advance the timer to spin and listen for a hum in the motor and then quiet, a sign that the motor has overheated. If the water drains it sounds like the timer is at fault.
I would first make sure the drain hose is properly installed and not kinked somewhere. In earlier GE's the water drain pump could clog, your manual doesn't indicate that as a defect. Regardless timer, motor and pump are in the cycle to empty the washer water.

F21 is flashing

This means the water is not draining out like it should. I solved this problem initially on my washer (my drain pipe was clogged), but now (about 4 months later), I have a flashing F21 and 5d, because of a clog some- where. I can drain and rinse (after this cycle, the door will unlock), and the tub spins, but I can't complete a cycle. Lots of debris has come out with rinse water, but I still seem to have a clog somewhere. I can complete a wash load by manually switching the settings.

Water leaking from bottom, lots of suds.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. This may happen due one or more than one of these issues with your washer--
Probably there is something(coins, socks, dirt, debris, etc) stuck inside the drain filter of your washer. You'll need to check the drain filter. To access the drain filter. To check the drain pump follow these steps:

Unplug the washer to completely disconnect electrical power.Remove the bottom front service panel as shown in the first image below.

Also check your drain hose for a kink or clog. Check the washer house drain for a clog or restriction. Test the washer to see if it will drain properly.

This issue can also be due to clogged drain pump or drain filter, due to which the hose have developed leak. This will cause suds

Please rate the solution if you find it useful and helpful.

Thanks

Rylee

My drain pipe for my washer doesn't drain the water fast enough.

No, but you can try snaking the drain or use something stonger like muratic or sulfuric acid. You may also want to check the venting on this drain.

Leaking water durign spin cycle

you have to de-clogged the drain outlet pipe. it could be clogged already that is why when it is draining, the pipe can not handle the amount of water coming out of the machine and it leaks out of the pipe or from the hose on the wall where the drain pipe is.

tnx 4 using fixya,
