Question about Polaroid FLM-3201 Television

The picture goes to gray after an hour or so. Sound still works, but no picture. Picture starts to go bad...then goes gray. Is this a heat issue? Work good for about one hour...then goes gray.

When it goes gray, means that the T-CON goes bad after warm up or it does not receive the 12vdc feeding it from the main board, or the main board is bad, try running the TV with the back open with small fan blowing in the back, otherwise you can get a can of cold spray for electronics troubleshooting fro Radio Shack or repia shop and try cooling the T-CON bord or the main logic board with it to see will the pictures come back on. Also check the power supply for bad DC filter caps.

Picture goes black with gray fuzzy lines ~ 1/2" apart horizontal.

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following
symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can
examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life
of your monitor or TV by several years.
Take it to a repair shop.

TV COMES ON NO PICTURE OR SOUND

If screen is gray glowing, the T-CON is bad or it is not getting the 12vdc from the logic board. You may have problem with logic board but do some voltage checking first.

Samsung lcd le27s7 screening problem

Hello,

The problem with your lcd monitor is that the picture board of your lcd monitor is faulty that is why it power on for one second goes gray and finally black with only sound.

Since the power led button is on and it still give sound but no display, it means the picture board of your monitor is bad.

All you need to do is to take the lcd monitor to any local repairer or any service center within your vicinity to help with the replacement of the picture board because the fault is not something you can fix all alone in other to complicate issue.

Take care

Screen loses picture after several hours of use. Volume works, picture comes back on after several hours?

Look at the venting grills on the back to see if you see any white lights inside the TV whenthe picture goes out, if no light at all, then the backlight inverter board may be going bad when it heats up, or it can be the power supply that supplys the power to the inverter board is bad. Take a look at the power supply to see if it has any bad capacitors, that is the easiest thing to do.

NO PICTURE AND SWITCHING ITSELF OFF, SOUND BUT NO PICTURE

Most likely you have a power supply problem. Capacitors go bad in the power supply causing voltages to fluctuate when the set is trying to start. Have a repair shop check it out.

Goes from good picture to gray and small lines then back to good picture

Check capacitors in the power supply. They dry out with heat and most of time they bulge on the tops. Replacing them should fix the problem. The power supply voltage varies causing the problem you describe. Let me know what happens.
