You should check the video cable and also try it with another PC since it is telling you that it is not sensing the video signals from your PC.

Monitor going to sleep problem

  • Hi, The Monitor as well the Computer have "Power Saving Modes," [Sleep, ScreenSavers, and Hibernation]; so what you want to do is "Change the way the Computer / Monitor Sleeps!" From the Desktop Screen, click on the "Start Button," next in the [Start Search Window], type: power. In the next [window] that opens, you should see, from your point of view; a "list" in the (left column) "Change when the computer sleep, the wording may be different, but it will be clear enough. Now all you have to do is change the way the Computer and Monitor "Sleep, or Turn-off." If the Monitor have its own "settings;" just find them by the [button on the monitor], and do the same thing as above; but I'm sure the computer will take care of both. If this solution to the problem was of help? Let me know by giving a "Helpful Rating", thanks, and have a "Great Memorial Day!"

I have an HP w2207 flat screen monitor. I have to

I stoped the monitor from sleeping by going into the montitor's menu, management, then sleep. Turn on the never allow to sleep mode. We were having some of your mentioned issues with the icons and with the monitor not waking up. This fixed that. Now the computer will go to sleep and when started the monitor comes on instantly.

I keep resetting my pc because my monitor just keeps blinking showing nothing on the screen. I need help

Your monitor MAY have a built in sleep timer. You can usually find it in the Monitor's Menu, under the category " MANAGEMENT " Disable the sleep timer and you shouldn't be having that problem anymore.

When I select sleep or hibernate mode - the monitor stays black...

Hit the keyboard keys. It is better to just turn sleep and hibernate off and just use a screen saver or tun it off.
