Question about Hamilton Beach BrewStation Deluxe 47474 12-Cup Coffee Maker

Open Question

My Brewstation Deluxe coffee tank is plugged. Cleaning won't fix it. I suspect that I need to remove the filter inside, but that seems impossible as there are 4 plastic tabs keeping it in place. Last time this happened I had to have the whole tank replaced. Now that it is off warranty, I can't afford that. Any ideas?

Are you pouring the water into the water reservoir? My wife bought a BrewStation and the same thing happend to me the first time I used it. Of course, I did not have the directions. I filled the removable water/coffee tank, but did not transfer the water into the 'water' reservoir. The water does not drain by itself.

Works fine now.

SOURCE: Brewstation Leaks

Mine did the same thing, except I have the model #47665 because the model you have I had to replace twice. It would start/stop numerous times during brewing. Anyway, if yours leaks coffee the same as mine it's because the tiny plastic part holding the small rubber gasket that controls leaking (inside the tank under the screen) is most likely broken. Apparently it's a common problem. I called HB at 1-800-851-8900 and talked to customer support. They are sending me a whole new tank (cannot just fix the gasket) for the whopping price of $5.00 to cover shipping. That's right, $5.00 for shipping gets you a whole new tank. I love Hamilton Beach. They truly do stand behind their products. Again Hamilton Beach product support, 1-800-851-8900 good luck to ya........Katherine

I just got mine via auction. All it did was steam, very little dripping. I took mine apart (used anyway) and found the water line has a soft tubing connecting metal pipe to plastic top drip part. It was crimpped. Was able to twist and straighten. Now works fine. Beware though when closing machine I caught a wire, had to fix that.

SOURCE: Is there a replacement part for the (HB

Desiree, I just had a problem with my 3 yr old Brewstation 47665. There is a limited warranty (1 yr) for the model. Call Customer Service and I am sure they can help you. You can find the number on their website. In my case, I would have to buy a new tank for $14.00 plus state tax. $14 is a lot better than $60. The coffee was dispensing extremely slowly and there is no way to remove the parts to clean. I didn't want to part with this coffeemaker, I LOVE IT!

The coffee just dribbles out of the canister when bar is pressed instead of pouring out like before.

The plumbing is clogged and needs cleaning. Follow the instructions of the unit for thorough cleaning. Think it involves the use of a vinegar solution that you pipe thru the system.

Brew station is extremely slow, suspect it needs cleaning.

You can run a cup of vinegar through the machine. Run it just as you would making coffee, except without the coffee. Run water through the cycle at least twice to remove sediment and the vinegar. Works like a charm.

Contact customer service and have them send you a new gasket for the coffee tank. Doesn't cost much and adds a couple years or more to the life of your coffee maker.

My hamilton beach brewstation is leaking.

There is a spring between the lever and the o-ring. It may have popped out when you cleaned the pot. That has happened to me before. The spring is necessary to hold the seal down until the lever is pushed.
