How to reset timer on PT-L702E LCD PROJECTOR:1. Power on the projector and go into the menu 2. Go to OPTIONS > LAMP TIMER 3. Press and Hold ENTER for at least 2sec - message will change to something like 'Power Off to reset timer' 4. Press POWER to power off projector 5. Power projector back on
Open the upper cover remove screw back side of the projector
Remove LCD connector and clean with soft cloth and fix it again.
close the upper cover and then POWER ON if the problem exist then the blue LCD is faulty and need to be replaced.
(very carefully because the ribbon cables and connector of the LCD is very senstive)
Experience:
There is three LCD (liquid crystal display) in your projector when one LCD faulty he display a line some time flickering line one or two lines. Due to other two LCD is working well so this line is looking transparent. If BLUE LCD faulty than the line color is very light green or yellow.
Second option is this that your projector lamp life is near to end and after 2000 hours projector is very dirty inside and need service.
(service of LCDs and other parts of projector is a very technical job and I don't know you can do it or not)
The Panasonic projector PT-LB50NTU or E have two type of data inputs.
One is RGB or VGA cable and second is VIDEO cable. If your IMAC have video or vga output than you can connect.
With power available at the projector and the lamp off (projector off) - hold the input button on and press the power button on and hold for 5 secs. This will reset the lamp timer to zero.
I wish they could have stuck this in the operators manual.
