PLEASE HELP MY FAMILY

ATTN: Sir
,
With due respect, trust and humility, I write to you this proposal which I believe would be of great interest to you. My message could be strange but real if you pay attention to it. I find your contact while I was doing a private research on the Internet for a reliable and capable foreign partner. I am writing to you on behalf of Kenga’s family to enquire if you can assist my humble family undertakes some capital investment in your country.

I am Grace kenga, the only daughter of Late Mr.Robert Kenga, who was the chairman of the Farmer’s co-operation in Zimbabwe. My Father was among the few black farmers that were murdered in cold blood by President Robert Mugabe Administration during the land dispute that just happened in Zimbabwe.

Prior to my father's untimely death, he had seen the rising hostilities of President Robert Mugabe's government in my country Zimbabwe. It may interest you to know that during my Father's regime as the Chairman of the farmer’s co-operation, he realized some reasonable amount of money from various deals that he successfully executed. As a result of his death and uncontrollable crisis in my Zimbabwe, I together with my family members decided to seek asylum in Ghana where my Father had deposited US$35.5 Million (Thirty Five Million Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars).

This money was meant for the purchase of new machines and chemicals for the farms and establishment of new farms in Swaziland. We now want to use this money for investment in your country since we do not have anybody to assist us. Following the above, I am asking for your urgent assistance to transfer this money out of Ghana using very confidential and reliable means.

However, this money was safely kept in a Security Company here in Accra Ghana before his death under disguise as precious items and nobody has any slight knowledge of what is inside the box deposited with the Security Company. In other words, there is no risk involved and so do not hesitate to ask questions where necessary. All the documents covering the deposition of the money with the Security Company are intact with me.

If you consider yourself honest, trustworthy and willing to assist us, please respond by this email address (kenga.grace1@hotmail.com) or through the above phone number to enable me provide you with detailed information on how the transfer of this fund can be made to your account upon acceptance. My family members have agreed to offer you 20% of the total amount for the assistance and efforts you are going to put for the smooth and successfully transfer of the fund, also 5% will be for any incurred expenses both locally and International.

I look forward hearing from you.

Best regard.

Grace Kenga.

Memory card locked

SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

I have a Canon PowerShot A540 Digital Camera I got a new memory card it is a sandisk SDHC 8 GB but I am getting a memory card error message.... What can I do?

There are several possible causes for "memory card locked", "memory card error", or "no memory card". The most common cause is having the tiny slide switch on the side of the card in the wrong position. The second most common is trying to use a 4GB or higher SDHC card with an older camera made before SDHC format came out. Please note that your particular model camera can only use up to 2GB standard SD cards. These are relatively inexpensive these days, and may be purchased on Amazon if your local store no longer carries them. There are also other common causes if the above didn't help, with troubleshooting steps for this problemlisted here.

I bought a brand new Sandisk 4GB memory card for my Canon PowerShot A520. The camera registers my other memory card just fine, but this card says Memory Card Error. I checked for locked position, and it is...

The 4 GB memory card is not compatible with the camera. It's a SDHC card (high capacity) and the A520 only supports SD cards. (The difference between the SD and the SDHC is similar to that of single layer and dual layer optical discs. Not all drives can handle both formats.)

Documentation for the camera is here: http://usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/digital_cameras/powershot_a_series/powershot_a520#BrochuresAndManuals .

I wish that I had better news for you.

I have just installed a 4 GB Sandisk in my new Kodak Eash Share C195 camera and it keeps giving me an error message - "Memory card is protected, Reset switch on memory card" I saw only one switch...

Deb,
A couple of things you might want to try the little lock on the side of the memory card should be in the unlock position. If you are still getting the error message then shut off the camera and remove the battery and the memory card. Insert the battery after about ten seconds should and install the memory card then turn the camera back on. Format the card in the camera NEVER format the card in your computer, format the card over deleting single images. If this camera is new, new then you should have the instruction manual or may be called the owners manual look for formatting instructions, every digital camera has a format feature to clean the memory card. Now if all this still doesn't work you may need to update your camera software. My Canon Pro camera gave me a headache when I went from a 4 gig to an 8gig card it just wouldn't acknowledge I even had a card in the slot. However you may just need to hard boot it after switching the memory card to the unlock position. Don't forget to format the card. Robert

Purchased 8 gb microSDHC Card with adapter for my cannon SD500 & WHILE TRYING TO FORMAT memory card GET AN ERROR saying card locked. I've moved the slide tab to the UP position but continue to get card...

The SD500 uses SD cards (and by extension, microSD cards). SDHC and microSDHC cards are electronically incompatible. While SDHC cards and microSDHC adapters will fit into the slot, they will not work in SD devices. This is a hardware issue and cannot be updated by firmware. You need to go with SD (and microSD) cards, 2GB and smaller.

Nikkon coolpix L1 After downloading memory card .. then putting back into camera. Reading says "cannot read memory card." Checked card out at store verified that it is good. Why does it not work in my...

A couple things you might try.. remove the card carefully and check the position of the "lock" tab. Make sure it is fully in the unlocked position - not locked or a point between the two positions. Reinsert and try again.

It sounds lie you're using a card reader to download the pictures - try formatting the card while in the card reader via computer. The card should be completely empty when the format is complete. You can even try copying files to and from the card to make sure its ok and format again. When complete, try again in camera.

If the problem persists, check to make sure the card is on Nikon approved memory card list for use with the Coolpix L1 (provided below):

The following is a list of approved memory cards for the Coolpix L1 digital still camera. These cards have been tested and approved for use with the Coolpix L1.
The L1 uses SD (Secure Digital) memory. Sandisk:
  • 64MB, 128 MB, 256MB, 512MB, 1 GB, 256MB*, 512MB*, 1GB*
Toshiba:
  • 64MB, 128MB, 256MB, 512MB, 1 GB, 128 MB*, 256MB*, 512MB
Panasonic:
  • 64MB, 128MB, 256MB, 1 GB, 256MB*, 512MB*, 1GB*
* - Cards rated for 10MB/s (high speed) Other cards have not been tested. For more details on the memory cards listed above, please contact the manufacturer.

The list came direct from Nikon Support. Other cards may work, but only those on the list are approved. Successful use of other cards can not be guaranteed.

I hope this helps!

I have a Nikon coolpix p90 digital camera that someone gave me. I took pictures with it and now the memory card says it is Write Protected and want let me take any more pictures. I can't find my manual and...

Sure

Some SD cards have a little lock on them, you need to take the SD card out of the camera and verify there is not a lock enaged, if there is nto then the camera is the issue, or the memory card.

1. Take out the memory card
2. verifiy its not locked
3. if its not locked try to format it
4. if it does not format that is your issue you need to replace the card.

Thanks I hope this free answer helps if not you might need a camera shop. please do not shoot the messenger. Do not forget to rate the answer before you leave, thanks

Memory card error/card locked

It sounds like your card is locked. You need to unlock it. On one of the sides you should see a piece that can move back and forth. Move it from the position it is now to the other side. This should unlock your card. When locked the files are unaccessible to anyone. This also means that files on the SD card cannot be deleted while the switch is in lock position. When the switch is in up-position, then all files located on the card are accessible to anyone, and that files may be deleted from the card.

Good Luck.

I noticed that this camera does not work well with cheaper memory cards. The only brand that works without fail is the SanDisk brand.
