Question about Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9564J Top Load Washer
Most likely source of noise is the coupling which is situated between the motor and the gearbox. Secondary fault can be the gearbox itself, but more likely to be the coupling.
Couplings are very awkward to do unless you know the 'tricks' to 'undressing' the machine.
It would probably be best to call a serviceman.
It is not a big job.
