Dear Johntbhoy

Well as far as the Nintendo Wii problem you have goes, all i know is that the remote control has a reset/ pairing button on the inside near the battery, This will pair the remote device to the Wii console. The console also has a pairing button on it, and this will need to be pressed as far as i know.

Referring to your user manual is probably a good place to start as the manufacturer most certainly is likely to include the instructions on pairing your remote to your console. If however you are prone to mis-placing manuals/ instructions (like i often do) then there is some help on offer here from the boys at

they have a website for user manuals, so check out the follwing link for stufff related to your gaming console at this link

Now be warned, i did check out the file size for your manual and it is pretty large, so it might be best to avoid using a 56K line to pull your manual down from the FTP server ((you could be better off running down the pub for a few swift pints or 20 of stella artois while you wait for a 56K download in PDF format.

Now once you got your manual, dont forget to open the manual using adobe reader/ adobe acrobat. You get this tool from the internet and going to will provide you the option of searching for a free download. Now for some strange reason, if you type the words "adobe reader free download" or "adobe acrobat free download" you will get given a link on where to go for your PDF reader ((wonder how this can be .lol)) and then the download is just a clickie bit away.

Well I hope that this is the fixya for you and please do let me know how you got on with this solution, in addition to this, if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me at earliest opportunity.

Yours sincerely

Bought a new will remote but it doesn't work.

Check the battery levels. You can do this by pressing A. If all 4 lights flash on and off, your batteries are completely charged. 3 lights, 2 lights, and 1 light signify 3/4, 1/2, and 1/4 battery levels. If lights don't flash, replace/insert batteries.
If it's not working with your console, open up the battery cover and the flip lid on the front of the console. (If it's a Wii U, you don't need to open the flip lid.) In both places, there is a red button. (On Wii U, it's next to the flip lid.) Press both red buttons at the same time. (Your Wii will need to be powered on.) The Wii Remote will continuously flash lights until it either receives a sync signal or about a minute has passed; whichever comes first. If you've pressed the buttons and your remote is still flashing, press the button on the console again. Once the remote is synced, the flashing lights will turn into a single light; the placement of the light will vary depending on how many remotes are signed into the Wii.
*Note* Once your remote is synced, you simply need to press A to sign back in if your remote turns off.
If all of the above steps were followed, and your remote is still not functioning, contact the manufacturer. Brands such as Nintendo and Nyko are usually okay, but generics like GameStop aren't the best. It's often easiest to return it and buy a different brand.

Well i want to reset the whole thing because i lost remote 1 but i have remote 2 but it wont let me use remote 2 and on remote 2 i put new batteries but no blue lights flash up what should i do

well i think you are using a wii. If so then you must take the battery cover off the Remote. Then locate a button in the front of the wii next to the sd card slots. There should be a tiny red button. Hold it down for 2 to 3 seconds. Then do the same thing but with the wii remote. In the back of the remote should be a tiny red button in the bottom Left hand corner. hold and they should sync.

Please rate.

Bought brand new batteries for my remote, but

You need to re-assign to the Wii. When you first bought it you pressed the button on the front of the Wii to configure controllers, then the controller buttons to find the Wii. When you change batteries you need to repeat this process as the 'memory' of the controller to the Wii has been wiped

Lost wii remote and need to know howtogetotherwiiremotestowork

When the Wii is on, you should be able to go into the menu to reset the remotes. Otherwise when you power them on press the home button and it should give you the option of resetting them as well.
